If you buy your dog’s food in bulk, watch this.

This dog parent had recently started finding bugs inside his house. After investigating, he realised they were coming from the container where he stored his dog’s kibble.

He then began cracking open the pellets one by one and found worm-like insects inside some of them, along with fully grown bugs in the container.

People in the comments suggested that they could be grain bugs, pantry pests, or weevils. We cannot confirm the exact insect or determine from this video whether the infestation began during manufacturing, warehouse storage, retail storage, or later at home.

But the incident raises a practical question every pet parent should consider:

How long is your dog’s food stored after the bag is opened?

A large bag may remain open for several days or weeks. The container is opened repeatedly, and the food may be exposed to air, humidity, and household pests.

Individual sealed meals work differently. Each meal stays protected inside its own sealed pouch until it is opened and served.

This is not a claim that every kibble contains bugs. It is a reminder that the way food is packaged and stored after opening matters.
