I spoke to my cat, P, about the current situation w.r.t the concern about feeding the streeties, this is what she had to say
Me: How're you?
P: Watching all the chaos, it's funny how you humans behave
Me: What makes you say that?
P: Y'all are still not learning. Still so self absorbed.
Me: What about the stray babies ?
P: They'll get free roaming streets, air to breathe and no chaos. They need the peace and quiet more than you think. How do you think they've survived for time to come ? You think they're dependent on you, but in reality they're not. This land has been theirs long before you inhabited it and they've survived without you. They will find means to find food / food will find them. Do you think they've always eaten processed food ? It's the humans need to feel wanted, the reason you seem to behave the you do. You're giving yourself a purpose in these times, because thats how you function. You want to feel valued, needed or feel like you did a good deed. Do your bit, water and food is more than welcome. But trust, without these provisions we will survive. The ones that aren't meant to, won't. Do you realise there will be less diseases now that you aren't occupying the streets? Less accidents too. It's a win-win situation. The Government is yet to learn to be inclusive. Thats a sorry state of affairs. We're going back to the times of nature and animals, which is how it used to be. We're happy to inhabit this land with you, but you need to be equally happy to share it too.
Me: What about all the humans hoarding things ?
P: Self-absorbed aren't they? Your species are slow learners. You only value things when you run out of them. Isn't it funny how you're being taught now that brands don't matter ? In a way, you're disconnecting from a materialistic world. You're finding solace in breathing and living. That's what us animals do. We're content with as little as is needed. Find that sweet spot and stay there, it's blissful. Trust me. ;)
