Noni is a young stray doggo who was brought in by her vigilant caretaker for not eating. Here she is, receiving fluids so sweetly and calmly. ❤️

It always amazes me how our strays trust us implicitly whenever they are sick and need medical help. The sad truth is that there isn't a single stray animal in our country who hasn't encountered some form of cruelty or the other at the hands of humans. Yet, most of them melt if you show them even the smallest kindness.

Don't let good intentions harm your furry babies! 🐶😺

We understand how helpless you feel when your pet is not well, but the solution should NEVER be self medication without a veterinary consultation!

Several easily available human meds can be extremely toxic to dogs and cats. They end up compounding the original problem instead of aiding recovery.

Last week, we were visited by Cleo and Jasmine-two of Floof's beautiful doggos. They were a little under the weather because of tummy upsets, but responded beautifully to treatment! They're both completely back to normal now 🥰

What struck me about both of them was how gentle and stoic they were, no matter how scared or unsure they felt. Truly such beautiful girls, inside and out.❤️

Let's talk about Tick fever!

Most of us know ticks as those gross creatures that suck blood and become even more gross balloons. But there's a lot more damage that ticks can do apart from just causing itching and blood loss.

Tick fever is a dangerous and sometimes fatal disease in dogs. Its spread can be loosely compared to the spread of dengue or malaria amongst people.
We, as pet parents, need to understand the risk that tick infestation poses to our dogs and ALWAYS have the necessary prophylaxis in place.
