On Sunday, 20th July, Dr. Shvesh conducted a lecture on advanced blood report interpretations for easier diagnosis in the VPWA Monsoon Clinical Meet under the invitation by the Veterinary Practitioners Welfare Association Organising Committee. This was his second public lecture after the WVS, Goa 2 day workshop.

The lecture was attended by senior vet members of VPWA and became a first for Dr. Shvesh who addressed his own college professors of Bombay Veterinary College as they were a part of the organisation.

We thank for inviting Dr. Shvesh and hope for more such collaborations.

Donation appeal: Every year we conduct vaccination camp of stray animals in multiple areas of Pune city. Last year we vaccinated more than 1000 animals, cats and dogs alike. This year we are planning more. This is done as a part of our duty to protect humans and animals alike against rabies.

The foundation we work with requires funds to carry out the vaccination on such a large scale. This year we have collaborated with Takshak Animal Welfare Foundation for the same. No matter what the amount, big or small, will help them conduct this camp with ease.

Let’s do our duty and protect ourselves against this deadly illness. All donations are tax saving beneficial in accordance to section 80C, section 80G and section 80GGC of the Income Tax Act.

When vets need to become groomers due to parent neglect

One of the worst skin cases we have seen in the last 11 years. All due to poor care by the parent!

Regular grooming is essential for a healthy skin. Even animals do it in the wild. Now this 4 month babe is in our care. Let’s get him out of it.

Look who visited us today! This young black kite was brought in as his wings were stuck in Manja. He relieved as soon as possible and is in recovery now. It’s time we enjoy our festivals and be careful at the same time!

On the joyous occasion of Diwali, we are extremely happy to announce that we have successfully completed our annual street animal rabies vaccination campaign under Mission Rabies with Project Scott for Dogs and Project Blu for Cats, with 1000 animals vaccinated against Rabies through on-site vaccination.

A total of 654 dogs, under Project Scott and 346 cats, under Project Blu were successfully vaccinated against Rabies by visiting their locations according to the reports of animal feeders and activists. All vaccinated animals were put on with reflective collars.

While Dr. S.B.’s Veterinary Clinic sponsored the camp and the vaccines, the camp was carried out under the supervision of our vets, by Mr. Nikhil Deshpande & his team at Benevolent Souls Foundation.

The area covered include Kothrud, Karve Nagar, Warje, Bavdhan, Bhugaon, Bhukum, Erandwane, Sinhagad Road, Narhe, Dhayari, Hingane, Katraj, Nanded City, Wadgaon, Ambegaon, Sus Gaon, Taljai, ARAI, Kalewadi and Rambaug Colony in Pune City.

We would like specially mention Ms. Karishma Jayaswal, for donating Reflective collars and Sabrina Omer, for videography.

We would like to mention, this was not a government sponsored event or municipal corporation event in any way. All the efforts and actions were taken by our vets at Dr. S.B.’s Veterinary Clinic and volunteers of Benevolent Souls Foundation.

We again thank everyone involved in this camp where 1000 animals were vaccinated. Let’s hope to do more next year.
