Best age to start training your puppy? 🐶

The answer: as early as 2–3 months.

At this age, your puppy is learning everything around him. It is the perfect time to build basic commands, manners, boundaries and good habits.

As your puppy grows, those behaviours can become habits — and later, established behaviour patterns. That doesn’t mean an older dog can’t be trained. It simply means you may need more time, repetition and consistency.

Think of it like a sheet of paper:
3 months → White
6 months → Grey
9 months → Darker
12+ months → Even darker

The earlier you build the behaviour you want, the less you have to correct later.

Don’t wait for bad habits to become your dog’s behaviour.

Start early.

How to teach your dog the “NO” command 🐶

The goal isn’t to scare your dog or keep saying “NO” until they stop.

First, help your dog understand what “NO” means. Start with a toy your dog loves, say “NO,” and reward them when they let go of the toy.

Once they understand the pattern, stop rewarding immediately. Say “NO,” wait for them to make the right choice, and reward them only when they let go.

With repetition and practice in different situations, your dog will gradually learn that “NO” means stop what you’re doing.

Start training early, stay consistent, and always reward the behaviour you want to see. ❤️🐾

🐶 Does your dog bite your hand when taking treats?

Here’s a simple method to teach your dog to take treats gently instead of snatching them.

The key is consistency: if your dog tries to grab your hand, take the treat away, reset, and try again. Once your dog takes it gently, reward that behaviour. 🦴

This method can be taught to puppies as well as adult dogs—the amount of practice may simply vary from dog to dog.

🐕 Does your dog pull you on every walk?

Leash pulling isn’t because your dog is stubborn. Most dogs pull because they’ve learned that pulling gets them where they want to go.

In this reel, I show two simple techniques that can help you teach your dog to walk on a loose leash:

✅ Keep only enough leash for your dog to walk comfortably beside you.
✅ The moment your dog pulls, stop walking. The walk continues only when the leash is loose.

Remember, don’t punish your dog—reward the behaviour you want to see. Dogs repeat behaviours that get rewarded.

🐶 The earlier you start training, the easier it is. But don’t worry—even adult dogs can learn with consistency and patience.
