It all started with Viva. I got her as an EIDI (EID Return Gift) from a very special friend of mine. She was 42 days then and she is 4 years now . I have kept awake days and nights to feed her. She came as a black cotton ball and started licking my fingers and without even my knowledge she gradually and eventually became my world. My world started revolving her. My outings and shopping became less.Even my visit to my home town also reduced . I could not find a good “ HOME BASED DAY BOARDING” where I can board Viva and travel. The very thought that I need to board Viva somewhere used to scare me. This idea of a “ HOME BASED DAY BOARDING “ came from there.
Viva started getting seizures . Initially I could not even understand why. Took her to the vet. Blood test done. Reports revealed that she was suffering from Tick fever . That was September 2017.
She again got severe continuous seizures on April 2018. Again blood test done. My world crashed when I heard she is “EPILEPTIC” ( Epilepsy - A disease which can only be controlled and never be cured ). Now leaving her alone was not an option. I cried and cried and cried. She had lost her eye sight also for a few days. I just prayed that she gets back her eye sight. As she being blind all the day boarding I inquired I was told “ She will be tied in the same cage/bed whole day “. I was horrified . However my prayers and Dr Anoop Pandey’s medicine got back her eye sight after almost 20 days . I will be indebted to him my whole life for what he has done for Viva. He literally gave my VIVA back to me.
Viva stays in a day boarding now. However leaving her whole day alone always pinches me. So now here I am starting my own day boarding quitting my decent job of a Sr. Manager -Human Resource with an Oracle Partner Company.
Now I can be home with VIVA , and also can be with many like her .
