🛑 *REFUND OF DONATIONS RECEIVED FOR LUCKYS TREATMENT* 🛑
On July 24, 2019, I Jayesh Ajit Shah rescued Lucky (Worli cruelty dog case) from Turf View after a severe case of cruelty was perpetrated on him. I took him to my animal hospital at Masjid Bunder and treated him till the evening of 28/07/2019 (whereby he was out of pain and regained consciousness).
On morning of 24/07/2019 I informed Bombay Animal Rights (BAR) about this case and requested Geeten Dudhanj (of BAR) to initiate action so that this incident is not repeated.
On July 27, 2019, Mr. Vijay Kishor Mohanani, Bombay Animal Rights (BAR) filed an FIR against the two accused.
Although Luckys condition was improving he required further tests (like x-ray, blood test, etc) for which my small hospital was not equipped hence we decided to shift him to Crown Vets.
On July 28, 2019, Lucky was admitted to Crown Vet. Mr. Vijay Mohanani requested me to accept donations *"FOR LUCKYS TREATMENT"* in HELP Animals and Birds Association (HABA) account because BAR doesn’t have a registered NGO.
On July 30, 2019 Mr. Mohanani, informed me that *a few donors had been clearing Lucky’s bills directly at Crown Vet and continue to do so* .
In light of above information provided by Mr. Vijay Mohanani, I wish to return all the money that has been collected for Lucky’s treatment in the Help Animals and Birds Association account.
As a policy HABA uses all funds received ONLY & ONLY for the purpose for which they are received (in this case for the tratment of Lucky).
*TILL NOW APPROX 5 TO 7 LAKHS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED IN DONATIONS* (WAY BEYOND REQUIREMENT). (I have not had time to study the bank statement in detail).
REQUEST donors to please get in touch with me and email ([email protected]) me their bank transfer details and amount transferred so I can reimburse the same, as soon as possible.
Please note:- I used my personal funds to treat Lucky in the initial days that he was with me. I have not touched any of the money that was raised from the numerous donation appeals made for his treatment.
