Sparrowfella In an effort to help sparrow populations, artificial nests are being provided to be installed at homes, offices, etc. Just like page and Share....

Mumbaikars are you listening,

This is an effort to save our little bird that once was heard every morning. Changing city landscapes is one of the reasons for its numbers to dwindle. These nest will give them a chance to breed and thrive, which will help increase their populations. If you are in Mumbai and around all you have to do is drop a message

just ping on the Whatsapp number and call for a nest. I am also looking forward to expand this drive in various cities if people respond. Check out the poster section and TAG someone whom you know lives around sparrows.

With a little help.

Sparrow peeps, it’s nesting time.
Little birds can be helped with provided material tied on to u r grill.
Jute strands, cotton, coir anything will help.

Even if u do not have a nest at u r place, but still have sparrows in the locality please be kind to place nesting material for our little pal.

Cheers

Today is World Forestry Day. Changing landscape patterns are also responsible for sparrow populations to decline.

This is my garden for the little birds to thrive. Food is a priority if u have feeders, but shelter and habitat plays a vital role to increase their numbers.

These plants provide all the shade they need in this extensive heat throughout the day. The mornings start with beautiful sparrow songs, but for us these songs have been a part of our day. Continuous chirping is heard throughout.

Scores of families of sparrows that hang around in these lush green areas, are seen preening and resting.

Have u planted and taken care of a tree for a sparrow. If not please do.

Sparrows need them desperately. Even we need them too.

Happy Birding
