After working for two years in the IT industry, I decided to give up my corporate career to pursue my passion for dogs. Having grown up with dogs, they have always been a very important part of my life and family. in electronics, working with dogs is something that has always been at the back of my mind .Certified in a canine training course from Canines Can Care and The Northern Center for Training and Behviour, I provide basic obedience training for adult dogs and puppies alike. I train dogs of all sizes and breeds, from the tiny Shih Tzu to the huge Rottweiler, and not to forget lovable mixed breeds too! Services provided :

Are female dogs really different from male dogs?

There are some sex-related differences reported in research, but behaviour is never as simple as putting a dog into a “male” or “female” box.

Your dog’s temperament, experiences, environment and the situations they’re in all matter.

So instead of assuming what a female dog should be like, look at the individual dog in front of you. That’s where understanding really begins. 🐾

When I think about branding myself as a dog trainer, I don’t think it’s just about how many dogs I’ve trained or how many years I’ve been doing this.

I’ve been in this profession for almost 14 years, and one thing I’ve always wanted people to understand is that dog training is a serious profession and a valuable service.

But my work is also about something bigger helping pet parents understand their dogs, building compassion towards animals and, through workshops and education, hopefully raising a generation that respects dogs and animals better.

Ultimately, I want to improve the lives of dogs and their people. And sometimes, that also means reminding us that our dogs are animals first and that they deserve the space to be themselves. 🐾

Paws & Play was a session I conducted for young children, around three years old, to introduce them to dogs and teach them how to interact with them safely and appropriately.

We spoke about how to approach a dog, how to pet them gently and, most importantly, how to understand that dogs have their own boundaries and ways of communicating.

I believe compassion towards animals can be nurtured from a young age. The earlier children learn to understand and respect animals, the better their interactions with them can be as they grow. 🐾

I get asked about my online training sessions quite often, especially by pet parents who don’t have access to experienced trainers nearby.

So yes, I work with pet parents anywhere in the world. 🌎

My online sessions cover puppy training, behaviour consultations and behaviour modification. For behaviour cases, we start with an assessment to understand your dog, their history, environment and what could be contributing to the behaviour.

For puppy training, I guide you through how to teach and practise the skills yourself — because the goal is not just to train your dog, but to help you understand how to train them.

Training isn’t always about teaching a dog what to do. Sometimes, it’s about teaching us how to understand them better. 🐾

Polki is fearful around new people, and one of the most meaningful parts of her journey has been seeing her pet parents learn to understand her behaviour, recognise what makes her uncomfortable and help her feel safe and protected.

Along the way, they worked on practical things like toilet training, biting and basic commands too. But more importantly, they learnt how to read Polki better, respect her comfort levels and adapt to what she needs.

Because when you understand why your dog is behaving a certain way, you can respond in a way that helps them feel more secure.

Not every walk needs to look the same.

Sometimes you need a quick toilet break. Sometimes your dog needs physical exercise. And sometimes, giving them time to slow down and sniff can be incredibly valuable too.

A sniff walk isn't about covering the maximum distance or letting your dog drag you from one smell to the next.

It's about giving them appropriate opportunities to explore, investigate and use their strongest sense.
And that doesn't mean you need to make every walk a 45-minute sniffari.

Think of walks as having different purposes.

Some walks get you moving. Some get the toilet job done. Some give your dog's nose a little
more time to work.

And ideally, their routine has room for all of them. 🐾

Does your dog move away when you try to pet them?
Before assuming they don't like affection, look at the context.

Maybe they only avoid being touched when resting. Maybe it's around unfamiliar people.

Maybe they move away when a particular part of their body is touched.
Those details matter.

And if a dog who normally enjoys touch suddenly starts avoiding it, don't ignore the change.

Behaviour can sometimes be influenced by physical discomfort too.

Moving away doesn't always mean the same thing. But it's always worth listening to what the context might be telling us. 🐾

Cooper's journey is one I'm incredibly happy to share. 🐾

Cooper had been adopted before we began working together online. During our first session, he showed very little interest in engaging and preferred to simply rest.

And that was okay. There was no rush to turn him into a different dog overnight.

Over time, with consistency, patience and the right support from his family, we've seen Cooper become more engaged with his people around him. He's more playful and is simply showing us more of who he is.

Stories like Cooper's are always a reminder that progress doesn't have to be dramatic to matter.
Sometimes, it begins with a dog feeling safe enough to do a little more than they did yesterday. 💛🐾

Every dog comes with their own history. The goal isn't to erase it. It's to understand the dog in front of us and help them move forward at their own pace.
