L*D is primarily spread mechanically by blood-feeding insects such as mosquitoes, flies and ticks. One infected animal can become a source of infection within a herd when vectors are abundant.

✔️ Remove stagnant water around sheds
✔️ Maintain proper drainage
✔️ Keep sheds clean and dry
