45+ day Farm internship @ Rangamalai Organic Farms https://manvasanai.in/ (Near Dindigul, Tamil Nadu)has been wrapped up(Oct-Nov 2025) with so many insights..

# Planning crops and planting tree saplings in Drought situations with in depth though process...Both southeast and north west monsoons have shown a blind eye for this area even in this year (after severe Drought in 2023)

# Value addition activities witnessed.. Herbal soaps (lemon grass, Indian Nettle) & oils (Virali /Hopseed bush, Vetpalai/Sweet Indrajao)... All the major ingredients are farm...Some are just weeds which in conventional agripractises are killed by Weedicides

# Very important learnings from long discussions with farm owner & Entrepreneur Pradeep Manickam....on marketing, simple business ideas that make farming profitable, customer engagement, dealing with critical situations (like staff leaving with no notice)....Will definitely be interacting in future too as I set up things in my farm

# Seed collection and processing...Maintaining seed bank to protect existing seeds and Gerimination checks

# Tried out Edible weeds in the form of Herbal Teas, salads, for curries on a frequent basis..Rosella and Hibiscus tea, Rosella Jam, Mint Tea, Vadhanarayana Leaf curry(White Gulmohar), Malabar spinach

# A strong bond with dogs and cows...Cows are indigenous breed of Kangeyam...which look fearful and become very friendly as spend time.
