**CORRECT CRATE SIZE FOR SAFE FLYING**
Recently, we have been getting distress calls at odd hours from passengers travelling with their pets, because the airline refused the crate at the last moment. Please find below info on determining the correct crate size for your pet.

The crate size for a pet is determined by
A = Length of a pet from the tip of the nose to the end of the body. Not including the tail.
B = Height of the pet from the ground till the chest where the front legs start
C = Maximum width of the pet at the shoulders or tummy (for an overweight pet)
D = Height from the ground to the forehead (for flop ear pets like Labs, Beagles) OR
Height from the ground tip of ears (for pricked ear pets like GSD, Husky, Cats)

Minimum INNER size of crate required is:
Length = A + 0.5 B
Width = C x 2
Height = D (you may want to keep a little more room)

Please remember this is researched and arrived at by a panel of experts who suggest it to the airlines for the SAFETY of live animals. An airline can also have additional requirements depending on the breed, season etc.

Please do not fall for the following excuses:
1. "The vet thinks it is correct size".
2. "The groomer said it is roomy enough"
3. "The trainer said he has relocated same breed many times in this size crate"
4. "I think it looks perfect"
5. "My friend took her same sized dog in this sized crate"
6. "His size keeps changing. I will reduce his weight."
7. "But he is comfortable and able to turn"
8. "But the weight of the pet is very less and can fit in a small size."

We understand it is an expensive buy for a one time use, but investing in a good quality correct size crate is paramount to the safety of your pet. Think if you yourself would prefer sitting in a cramped space for as long as your pet?

Valentine's day for us is also when we travel 60+ hrs to unite these furry cuties with their family.
This was an epic journey with Oscar the 16 yr Cocker Spaniel who can not see or hear but can smell everything from opening a door to chips packet.
Peggy the 8 yr Diva. She demands bum rubs the moment your eyes meet. Next time we will try to take a separate person just to give belly rubs personally for her.
These guys came from Khandala to Pune to Mumbai to Guwahati to Shillong. And showed us some love and beauty of Meghalaya. in would love to help you plan and execute such lovely journeys for your pets.

Last month we escorted this joyful TONGLING from Mumbai, Maharashtra to Jammu and Kashmir . We had to serve this Royal Canine with hot Rotis on the serving table with proper cutlery. Kids please learn some table manners from him.
