"Intraoperative findings following midline laparotomy at Animal Health Vet Clinic: mechanical obstruction of the jejunal lumen in a canine patient (Sandy) attributed to an ingested enterolith. Enterotomy performed with successful foreign body extraction. Subsequent closure of the enterotomy site followed by mesenteric plication (mesopexy) to prevent future intussusception. Procedure performed by Dr. Rajnikanth.
Postoperative day one: Sandy demonstrated voluntary water intake with no evidence of emesis. Gastrointestinal function returning favorably. Patient continues to remain under close observation."
