JBF Assam Flood Relief – Veterinary Care for Animals & Companion Animal Support

📍 Sivasagar, Assam | 09 August 2026

Today, team JBF carried out animal feeding activities across Panbacha, Banmukh and Mothadang, providing dog, cat and cattle food to local families so they could continue feeding and caring for animals in their respective areas.

As part of today’s relief effort, feed and food were also provided to 130 local families, helping them continue feeding and caring for animals in their respective areas despite the ongoing flood situation.

For 14 days, while floodwaters took away homes, food and safety, JBF stayed behind for those who had nowhere else to turn.

Today, our team continued feeding animals across Sivasagar and supplied food & feed to compassionate local people who are caring for street dogs in their own areas.

Hunger doesn’t wait for the waters to recede and compassion shouldn’t either.
These animals cannot ask for help; they can only wait.

🐾 Day 13 | JBF Assam Flood Relief – Veterinary Care for Animals.

Even as floodwaters continue to disrupt lives, team JBF remains on the ground, ensuring that animals are not left behind.

Today, our Veterinary Care for Animals & Companion Animal Support Unit continued its relief operations across flood-affected areas of Sivasagar district. Emergency animal feed was distributed in Khonamukh, Nopam, Sintamonigor, Jelangonitup, and Habigaon, reaching cattle, goats and community dogs struggling to survive the aftermath of the floods.

To help families continue caring for their animals despite the crisis, feed was also provided directly to affected households. Supporting both animals and the people who depend on them is an essential part of our relief mission.

As part of the JBF Assam Flood Relief – Veterinary Care for Animals & Companion Animal Support Unit, team JBF successfully continued its flood relief mission across Sivasagar district today.

Animal feed was distributed in the flood-affected villages of Panbasa, Goupur and Loraputa reaching vulnerable cattle, goats and dogs affected by the floods. Feed was also provided to affected families to help them continue caring for their animals during this difficult time.

The distribution drive was successfully carried out with the invaluable support of local organizations and dedicated volunteers, ensuring that essential animal feed reached the communities that needed it most.

Every bag of feed, every dose of medicine, and every act of compassion brings hope and helps save lives.
