I love winters, but I also blame them for making me lazy and not giving you all details about my new year vacation. I know I was talking about Banlekhi last, so we can continue from there. After spending two days there, we walked to the car and drove off to Kasar Devi, between Almora and Binsar. It was about 80 kms away and the name of the property was The Kumaon. We took a turn and ended up on a dirt road, where we drove for about 10 minutes before parking. After parking, it's about a 5-7 minute walk to the beautiful property where the people were nice enough to give me a room with a balcony. I spent most of my time admiring the view and walking around in the property. I wasn't allowed in the restaurant, but it didn't matter because they were nice enough to send me and the parents food in the room. They even had a fire to make our room super warm. I had such a comfortable stay here!

From Baghaan, mom, dad and I drove for about 6 hours to get to this quaint village called Banlekhi, on the outskirts of Mukteshwar. You park your car at the edge of the hill and walk up for about 10 minutes to get to the Banlekhi resort. The walk is so exciting!
The hosts are very hospitable, they even made me dinner and gave me a break from my regular dog food. Nights were very cold and I needed a jacket on top of my tee shirt too with all the chilly winds. On the second night, we had a visitor who all three of us made friends with. You can see him warming himself with us by the bonfire.

My holidays started some time back. I spent Christmas with Romeo and Juliet in Garhmukteshwar. It's about 2.5 hours from Delhi, so if you feel that you don't want to drive a lot but want a holiday with your furry traveler, it's a good option. We stayed in Baghaan Orchard Retreat. We weren't allowed inside the dining hall, so our humans served their food and ate outside with us. Other activities for humans included sports like basketball and badminton, zip lining, paintball, cycling, etc. For Romeo, Juliet and me, it was pretty much peeing on the trees, getting pats from strangers and getting to run just a little. Overall, a great vacation!
