A new study estimates that chimpanzees consume the alcoholic equivalent of over two human drinks a day as a result of their preference for ripe fruits, which can ferment naturally as yeast from the environment converts their sugars into alcohol. But don't expect to see too many strange antics in the trees—thanks to a genetic mutation, chimps can metabolize alcohol 40 times faster than other primates.

Beyond fighting crime, Senior Police Inspector Sudhir Kudalkar has a special mission—making Mumbai safe for stray animals.

During the pandemic, as thousands of strays went hungry, injured, and abandoned, Kudalkar took action.

What started as feeding dogs turned into forming a WhatsApp group—PAL (Pure Animal Lovers)—now 7,000 strong, uniting activists, feeders, lawyers, and citizens.

PAL became a lifeline: rescuing strays, providing legal help, and turning his Borivali police station into a 24×7 animal shelter.

So far, he’s tackled over 3,500 animal abuse cases.

PETA even honoured him as a ‘Hero to Animals’ after rescuing a 120-year-old turtle trapped in a drain.

For Kudalkar, every stray is family, and every rescue is a step toward kindness.

In the small town of Mysuru, India, a centuries-old monastery has long been known for the large cross that stands just outside its walls. For decades, locals have whispered about something extraordinary elephants, tigers, and even monkeys gathering at the cross, lingering around it as if paying respect.

One traveler, curious about the rumors, decided to investigate. He set up a hidden camera, and the footage stunned everyone: herds of elephants pausing during their journeys, tigers brushing against the stone, and monkeys circling quietly beneath it. When researchers reviewed the recordings, they uncovered something even stranger elephants were altering their annual migration routes just to stop at the cross.

Scientists were baffled. To find answers, they spoke with the monks. The monastery revealed that the cross had been erected generations ago in honor of the man who founded the church. According to legend, he lived in harmony with the surrounding wildlife, even walking face to face with tigers without being attacked. Locals say he was buried beneath the very spot where the cross now stands, and stories still circulate about his bond with elephants that once roamed the forests.
Whether the animals are drawn by something supernatural, or whether they are somehow remembering a bond passed down through generations, no one can say for certain. But one thing is clear: this mystery reminds us how little we truly understand about the deeper connections between humans, animals, and nature.

The Silent Cry 😢

Mama, where are you? I don’t understand why I am here all alone in this dark and cold place. My little heart is hurting so much because I was taken away from you, and now I can’t feel your warmth or hear your voice that always made me feel safe. Every moment without you feels like endless pain, and I keep calling your name hoping you will come, but all I hear is silence. My body is tired, my eyes are full of tears, and my soul feels broken because I need you, Mama. I don’t want to be alone, I just want to be in your arms, to drink your milk, to feel your love. Why do humans do this to us? Why do they separate me from you when all I want is to stay by your side? My cries are full of pain, my heart is full of fear, and every day without you feels like I am losing a part of myself. Mama, I miss you so much, and I don’t know how long I can stay strong without you. All I wish is to be free and together with you again, because you are my world, and without you, I feel lost and broken.

11 Years Of Waiting For Forever Home

After over a decade in a shelter, 14-year-old Pitufo from Argentina finally found his forever home. Rescued in 2012 and overlooked for years, he was adopted in August 2023 by a loving couple, Estefanía and Sebastián. Now, with parents and a cat sister, Pitufo spends his days walking, cuddling, and smiling, living the happy ending he always deserved.
