Good Morning guys, I have been asked by many hobbyist why the name of this page is "the everyday aquarist" and what relevance everyday aquarist has today.
As everyday aquarists, we are not concerned with those fancy aquarium styling and designings. As a matter of fact most of our aquarium biotape are very basic.
As everyday aquarists we're more concerned with the everyday problems a hobbyist faces in fish keeping. We are more concerned with everyday care of our fish - the water changes, water parameters, temperature, compatibility, nutrition and many other day to day aspects of this hobby.

We're proud to introduce our Mayer Bros- Abhinav and Abhimanyo Mayer. Both brothers are passionate aquarists. They love the DIY concept in this hobby. They have DIY tank, DIY cover, DIY lights, DIY Filter, DIY Co2 and this list goes on and on.

An excellent setup shared by our Everyday Aquarist Prankur Pathak. Prankur is an ardent fish lover. He has kept all types of freshwater varieties like Chiclid setups, Tropical Community setups, Discus setups and even stingrays and arowana.
Here, Prankur shared a tank in which he had kept cardinals with plants.

Plecotomus are excellent additions in your tanks. Most of these guys are peaceful. But remember not all are excellent algae cleaners. Also, most of them require additional supplementation in their diets in form of algae wafers. Also choose the right one for your tank as most of these guys have potential to live long.
