*COW SLAUGHTERING CASE CRACKED: MAIN ACCUSED WITH HISTORY OF FIRING AT POLICE ARRESTED BY PS KOTWALI*
*INCIDENT:*
The case came to light after a video depicting cow slaughtering surfaced and went viral on social media. Taking immediate cognizance of the matter, PS Kotwali registered FIR No. 816/2026 dated 23.09.2026 u/s 325 BNS and Sections 11/38 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
Thereafter, the police team launched an intensive investigation to identify, trace and apprehend the persons involved. In a significant breakthrough the team successfully identified and arrested the main accused *Aurangzeb @ Ajhar, aged 23 years, R/o Amroha, Uttar Pradesh* in the present case.
*OPERATION:*
Immediately after registration of the case a dedicated team under the overall supervision of *Ms. Niharika Bhatt IPS, DCP/North and guidance of Sh. Pukhraj Kamal Gupta IPS, Addl. DCP-I/North and Sh. Ram Dulesh Meena, Addl. DCP-II/North, and under the leadership of Inspr. Suman, SHO/PS Kotwali, comprising SI Prashant (I/C PP Ballimaran), HC Ramkishan, HC Nitin, HC Pradeep, HC Deepak and Ct Amit,* commenced an extensive technical and field investigation.
The police team undertook an *extensive CCTV analysis,* examining thousands of camera feeds to reconstruct the movement of the suspects and their vehicle between *03:15 AM and 07:00 AM on 23.09.2026.* The analysis led to crucial leads regarding the *movement of the accused, parking of the vehicle at a secluded location, transportation of the animal and subsequent activities at the spot* which were further corroborated through field verification.
After nearly *05 days of sustained day-and-night efforts* the team successfully *identified, traced and apprehended Aurangzeb @ Ajhar* the main accused in the case.
*INTERROGATION & MODUS OPERANDI:*
During interrogation *Aurangzeb @ Ajhar* disclosed his alleged involvement along with his associates in *multiple incidents of cow slaughtering in Delhi.* As per his disclosure the group would identify *abandoned/roaming cows, transport them in a vehicle to secluded locations and allegedly slaughter them* after which the meat
