The liver disease refers to any abnormality that interferes with the normal functioning of the liver.

The liver is a vital organs that has numerous functions which includes metabolising, detoxifying and storage. It is unique in the sense that it has the capacity to regenerate. As little as 51% of the original liver mass can regenerate back to its full size.

The signs of liver disease in dogs include lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, excessive thirst, ulceration, fever, and seizures. (Swipe Right!)

🐶You may have seen in movies that whenever a dog’s perspective of vision has been shown, it is edited as black and white. Is this portrayal of dog vision true to reality?
The answer is No.
Dogs can see different shades of yellow, blue, and brown, as well as various hues of gray, black, and white.
But when it comes to distinguishing colors, dogs are color blind in the sense similar to a red-green color blind person.

Thus, dogs can see colors but at the same time are color blind.

👉Dogs smell in 3-D. They can smell separately with each nostril👃. Just as our eyes compile two slightly different views of the world, and our brain combines them to form a 3-D picture, a dog’s brain uses the different odor profiles from each nostril to determine exactly where smelly objects are located.
👉Every step you take, you unknowingly leave loads of skin flakes made up of skin cells behind. Humans shed about 50 million skin cells each minute. This biologically rich “snowstorm” that we shed helps dogs see us without actually seeing us.🤩

The word brachycephalic comes from two Greek words, Brachy- meaning short & Cephalic- meaning head. So it literally means breeds of dogs that are short-headed. It is a group of breeds that have flat heads or short heads, short & narrow nasal passages, or tiny nostrils.Their short heads & noses put them at a disadvantage both directly as well as indirectly.
