⚠️ Medical Case – Need Advice (Graphic Content)
Dear breeders and vets,
Today I faced a very serious situation with a newborn puppy. While handling the umbilical cord just after birth, I noticed that this was not a normal cord case. There was exposed abdominal tissue (possibly intestines), and continuous bleeding.
I have already taken the puppy for emergency veterinary care, but I wanted to ask the community:
• Has anyone faced a similar case?
• What could be the exact cause of this condition?
• Is this a congenital defect (umbilical hernia/evisceration) or can it happen during handling?
• Any experience with survival and recovery in such cases?
I am sharing this for educational and medical discussion only, so that breeders can learn and avoid such situations in future.

Would really appreciate inputs from experienced breeders and veterinarians 🙏
