Recognising this opportunity, offers a 6-month Mehendi Training Programme designed to equip women with both creative and professional skills. Students begin with the foundations of pencil drawing, design development, organic mehendi preparation, and hands-on practice before progressing into advanced techniques including bridal, portrait, marriage, and theme-based mehendi.

But this programme is about more than learning patterns and techniques.
For many women in the communities we work with, opens opportunities to earn, contribute to their families, build confidence, and imagine a different future. With growing demand through weddings, festivals, celebrations, and client work, mehendi becomes a skill that can be carried anywhere and turned into meaningful income.

This we honoured mothers both young and old. We celebrated at our elderly persons group and our young mums group, singing songs, cutting cakes, decorating a cha cup to take home.

“Ma” is more than just a Bengali word for “mum” in our communities. It is strength, sacrifice, resilience, comfort, and unconditional love.

Many of these mothers have had their own education cut short, but they carry enormous hopes for their children. They dream of a brighter future. One with education, opportunity, and more choices.

Through our Mum’s group, is working with these young mums to help them realise those dreams.

This Mother’s Day, we celebrated the incredible women who continue to give everything they have so their children can have more than they did.
