* If your dog has a blue nose, you do not have a Pit Bull
* The average Pit Bull weighs anywhere from generally 25-60 pounds, on average. If your dog weighs more than that, you probably don't have a Pit Bull, unless you have a pedigree to prove it!
* Unless you have a pedigree, your so called "Pit Bull" is a dog of unknown lineage, that being said, you can't call it a Pit Bull unless you can prove its lineage
* Pit Bulls are not generally good with other animals, so if you have a so called "Pit Bull" who is a social butterfly around other dogs, you either don't have a Pit Bull or you have a Pit Bull and it's a HUGE exception, not the rule.
* There's no such thing as a blue nose or a red nose "Pit Bull" - you have a mutt, most likely an American Bully or American Bully mix. Nose color is NOT a bloodline nor a type of Pit Bull
* There's only ONE "pit bull" and that's the American (Pit Bull) Terrier, also the only breed with Pit Bull in its name. The term "Pit Bull" is NOT a generalized term
* If your dog doesn't have game-dogs within the first 4-5 generations of the pedigree, you do NOT have a Pit Bull. You have what we like to call Staffs ;)
* If you got your dog from either a shelter or rescue, you definitely don't have a Pit Bull
* If your dog is blue, you do not have a Pit Bull (please, feel free to post up your so called blue "Pit Bulls" - we'd love to see them ;) )
* If your dog has Staff heavily within his pedigree, he is NOT a Pit Bull. You have a Pitterstaff or just a Staff or just a Staff mix of some sort. The APBT is an established breed, and if you mix a Rhodesian Ridgeback with a Dachshund somewhere within the pedigree, your dog is not purebred. Suck it up and deal with it. If you wanted a Pit Bull, you should of gotten a true Pit Bull, not some Staff s**t for you to call a Pit Bull when it ain't!
* Gotti, Remyline, Razors Edge, etc - those are American Bully bloodlines, not Pit Bull bloodlines
* If your dog is XL or anything with an "X" in it, it ain't a Pit Bull. You have an American Bully/American Bully x Mastiff mix
* If your dog is UKC registered, it's highly unlikely that it is a Pit Bull, but it's not impossible. APBTs can obviously be registered with the UKC, but the majority of the time, they're just Am. Staffs or Am. Staff mixes
* Just because your dog is registered with the ADBA does NOT mean he is a Pit Bull either. Lots of mutts are FALSELY registered with the ADBA as Pit Bulls
* Pit Bulls don't come in one "set" appearance, some are short, some are tall. Some are big, some are little. Some have bat ears while others have rose ears, hound ears, etc. Overall, the APBT was never bred for its looks
