UPDATE ON JACKIE & HER PUPPIES

Jackie and her puppies - Sooji and Boondi, already feel at home at VOSD even though they've only been here a couple of days! Jackie was nervous initially, but now loves exploring the VOSD grounds with her Caregiver, Arundathi. (We suspect she might even love this more than coming back to her kennel to be with naughty Sooji and Boondi!).

Jackie is also a diligently clean mother. She only does 'her business' outside - which is a great set of manners to be demonstrating to her impressionable puppies! :)

BLIND DOG FOUND IN PUNE

Blind BRAVE was found emaciated, weak and stumbling around sightless in Pune. Not only is he blind, but he is anaemic and also has a pe**le tumour - known as a transmissible venereal tumour which is spread in street dogs via mating, but is easily treated. But Brave will need to build up his strength before his tumour treatment can begin. VOSD Grantee NGO - Tails 'N' Trees, Pune, is looking after Brave.

TAILS 'N' TREES is a VOSD Grantee NGO. They 'Neuter, Vaccinate and Rescue' stray dogs to relieve animal suffering and reduce human-animal conflict in Pune.

VOSD grants support grassroots organizations across India involved in rescue and/or sterilisations. We want to improve the lives of all stray dogs by giving annual grants or project-based funding. Read more on vosd.in
