With a heavy heart, I'm sharing this post that Tino, who is 8 years 7 months has been diagnosed with Tick fever and Nervous problems. I'm raising funds for medical expenses my pet Tino.
Though I tried hard that I've been took him to Government Veterinary Hospital in Hosur before 3 days which is 35 kms away from the place where we live. I left my three kids (one is 6 year old and twins who is of 1 and half year old)and 2 pets at home alone and asked my 6 year old to take care of the four. Doctors there were very lethargic and doesn't even care about the condition of Tino. They doesn't know being a pet parent we have all rights to know what exactly the health issue with him. They simply gave him drip and asked me take him the very next day.
He dint urinate for more than 40 hours, hence I made an online consultation. The doctor asked me to go for catheterization to remove the urine from his bladder which should be done in a hospital. The doctors in Government Veterinary Hospital were not ready to do that despite of the seriousness and his condition. When I asked them to give the injection prescribed through online consultation they refused to do that also saying that was not their protocol. But they wanted to go for a blood test, for that we drove for 15 kms to collect blood sample of Tino in one place and handed over the sample in lab which is very far.
After getting the blood test done, we returned home. But his condition became worse and we took him to private vet clinic for emptying his bladder as doctor advised. His forelimbs has been paralyzed because of the drips given by doctor Government Veterinary Hospital. The doctor in private clinic, he emptied his bladder and gave him antibiotics and injections through IV. Then he asked us to come on Sunday. He told he will definitely pass urine and the antibiotics are given and lot of drips will help him to pass urine.
After coming to home, he seems to be OK. But he was not able to stand or sit. I fed him with my hand as he is not able to have his food on his own. Later after 5 hours he started barking which he forgot to do in the past one week. I was very happy that I can hear his voice. But his condition remains the same. We waited for one more day as doctor said. But nothing worked and he dint pass for more than 20 hours.
With no other go, I contacted Cessna Lifeline Veterinary Hospital which 40 kms away from the place where we live and consulted with Dr Ajitesh. He took an X-ray and did catheterization and diagnosed Tick fever and partial paralysis. He asked us to admit him as we are very far and we have three kids and two pets there at home to be taken care of. We admitted him and were asked to pay Rs. 15000 as advance. Doctor told us that we have to wait for one day, if he responds to treatment we can continue the medication. If not, we need to go for CT scan which costs around Rs. 13000, as it involves anesthesia and it can be done only in Domlur branch.
I was not aware of pet insurance and I never thought that Tino will meet this day. Already we have spent around Rs.10000 for his medical expenses and we paid Rs. 15000 as advance in Cessna. Having kids in hand, it was really hard for me meet such sudden and huge financial expenses.
To meet up his medical expenses doctor Ajitesh asked us to raise funds to bring Tino back to home with your help today. Even a small amount can be very useful for us. I will be sharing his blood report with this post.
