The Book of Indian Dogs says, that it was a practice in ancient India to erect a stone to commemorate the valor of dogs that died fighting a bandit or a wild animal.One of the earliest dog memorials is in a tiny village called Eduthanur in Tiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu in India.Why i share this bit of trivia with you?Well,this is a shout out to all of us who buy large foreign breeds to add to our farms and estates thus adding to the chaos of unethical breeding.The next time you decide to buy a foreign breed to "guard" your space,stop and think about our Indian dogs, who not only thrive in large outdoor spaces but also need no training at all to be guard dogs.This comes instinctively to them. Lets try making conscious decisions to not only give our Indian dogs their due but also to not contribute towards the demand of large foreign breeds based on our assumptions .

Any dog trainer will tell you that time,patience and consistency are vital, while training your dog or correcting their behaviour.This lovely couple who are parents to Maximus,not only understood this but had complete faith in the process.I consider myself fortunate to have been part of this journey of learning and training with Maximus and his family.
