Cooking on firewood due to the ongoing gas shortage. With very limited space, we are able to prepare community dog food only in small batches, which is taking much longer than usual.

I know many of you are upset that the food is getting late. Please trust that we are truly doing everything we can. We are working 17+ hours a day, round the clock. The entire team is physically and emotionally drained but we continue because we know how much the community dogs depend on this food.

Due to ongoing LPG supply issues and difficulty in procuring cooking gas, our kitchen operations are affected.

Doggy meal deliveries will happen in the second half of the day starting today.
We will continue trying our best to send meals as early as possible.

Important Update from Romy’s Doggy Oota

Many of you may already be aware of the current LPG supply issues linked to the ongoing situation in the UAE and global disruptions. Unfortunately, this has directly affected us as well.

Cooking gas prices have suddenly increased to nearly three times the usual cost, and cylinders have also become difficult to source.

For a kitchen like ours that cooks large quantities of fresh meals every single day for community dogs, this sudden increase has created a serious challenge.

We are doing everything we can to keep the meals going, because for many of these dogs, this food is often their only reliable meal of the day. Stopping is not something we want to even consider.

However, with costs rising this sharply and supply being uncertain, we will unfortunately have to revise food prices shortly. We are working through the numbers and will share the updated prices within the next 2–3 days.

There may also be temporary delays in delivery timings while we manage these supply challenges.

We have always tried our best to keep meals affordable so more community dogs can be fed, but right now we are left with very little choice.
