🍗🥦Today, we cover some important points to reconsider when cooking meals for your dogs at home. Do note, most low carb dog meals or anti inflammatory meals for dogs do not have enough naturally available resistant starch.
📌📌Hence we urge you to consider including cooked green bananas into their daily meals ! And if green banana does not suit your dog, do add in the sweet potato or grain once or twice a week only. This is to ensure their gut is cared for with resistant starch. Green bananas or raw bananas are very safe for most dogs. It is one of the best vegetables for a grain free dog diet. Raw bananas are naturally lower in sugar & starch when compared to any variety of potato.

We do renal friendly meals for dogs. Freshly cooked with only 30% of the whole dog meals being cooked meats.

Just because they are meant to reduce their protein intake does not mean they're not meant to eat meat.
We provide the basic meal for your dog with kidney problems.
This is the phase in a dog's life that's difficult. They need the maximum comfort from you. And you as a pet parent need to ensure they are nourished and still consuming food.

Our base renal diet for dog's was crafted for Bella. Our beautiful baby girl, who finally succumbed to her kidney condition. But she went down eating, well...to nearly her last days. We did work with our Vet for regular checkup and they were informed on her diet. There were months, when her blood work numbers were stable too.

Caring for dogs with sensitive stomach and itchy, red, irritated skin is a struggle.

We Hungry Eyes - Crafted For Canines decided to make further changes to our dog's diet after a long research and trial.

In 2023, we eliminated all carbohydrates and high sugar vegetables like potatoes, carrot, beetroot, green peas. This is currently our Low Carb meals for dogs🤓👍🏼

However, that alone didn't work for our dog who starts itching and going red over weather changes in a city like Bangalore or small dietary changes. 😐🥺🙁

In 2025, we discovered the benefits of raw banana or green banana or banana as a vegetable in our dog's home cooked meals which are always meat based. 🤞🏽😁🥰🙌🏽

It just worked wonders for our dog with sensitive stomach who was constantly itching during weather changes. And if you have a dog with similar skin problems, you may have experienced that the weather change in Bangalore starts getting permanent. 🙄
