A little bit about the educational and professional qualifications of the humans behind Hungry Eyes

That's me, Nandini.

Ever since my 10th grade, completing Hotel Management and working in the industry was my goal. And I managed this successfully 💪🏽

For me, it was an industry, where you apply yourself physically and mentally in a professional setup.

I've completed a 3 year degree in hotel management, catering technology and applied nutrition. Probably the ONLY degree where you study a range of subjects, that were mandatory in all the three years.

We studied from kitchen production, F&B service, housekeeping, front of the house TO accountancy, costing, business law and applied nutrition.

While I worked in corporate sales within business hotels. I also applied my experience into consulting and fund raising for the social segment.

I love my experience for the adaptability it gave me to any discipline and industry.

This is THE UNDER DOG we were first time pet parents to....our beautiful Indie mix!

As mentioned in our last post, we were under feeding a dog.
Well we initially thought our "under dog" was an Indie Hound Mix. Turned out he was an Indie Lab mix!!

These were some of the signs we over looked!
When we were under feeding our dogs!

What did we do once we realised?
🥗Increased the overall intake of cooked meals
🥩Which also meant feeding the right quantity of meat along with the veggies

Our standard dog meals are perfect to understand a basic meal for dogs

What we experienced after?

🐕‍🦺A beautiful muscular dog. He was an Indie Lab mix and started looking more like a Labrador 🐶
Who was active
💩And all his extra curriculars like p**p eating and street foods...stopped!!
He listened to the no and corrections and was never really tempted to scavange!

We are pet parents who have always fed fresh meat based diet to our dogs.
Earlier, it used to be a mix of kibble and fresh.
Now it's all feeding fresh food to our dogs and our community dogs!!!

When we got our first dog home, we followed the diet, handed over to us.

And slowly realised we were UNDER FEEDING OUR DOG.

Once we corrected it....our boy grew into a handsome, muscular, active dog.

Under feeding a dog, especially when they are puppies (upto 2years old) affects their growth foundation.

When we started Hungry Eyes too, we realised, a basic guidance [dog feeding guide, blogs on basic dog food to special dietary requirements for dogs] to doting pet parents made all the difference. And we are talking about differences, not only in the dog. But also the pet parents!

The quantity of dog meals ordered changed. And gradually even the type of dog meals chosen for the same dog would change. Based on the need.

We were happy to see pet parents getting more confident with trying out new products. And this gave us the confidence to continue adding in information and guidance to empower pet parents further. We also learnt and incorporated changes from our customers.

Mistakes happen but the important thing is to learn from them.
