ASA Animal Shelter Agonda/Cola We are a Registered Charitable Trust, based in Vagona, Cola Canacona South Goa. We are open between 10am till 12.30 & 4-6pm.

We initially started out with a small animal shelter/clinic in Cola, helping the local stray dogs and cats from the Agonda and Cola areas. We moved to a purpose built animal shelter in Vagona, Cola on a beautiful cashew plantation, where the dogs have much more freedom in their natural habitat away from residential areas, and the traffic on the busy roads. We are open daily except Saturdays as we

HAPPY ADOPTION DAY!
Little pup came to us very small, and with skin issue. He was also very scared too. No mama but just a kind lady, asking us to take care of him! She found him all alone, and she was leaving India. She promised us, she would get him adopted🙏 and today win her friend wini came and took little happy home with him back to Gokarna. Happy was vaccinated, before he came to us, and operated by a our lovely vet. Thankyou Pascalle, for sending wini am sure this lovely dog and he is by name and by nature even more happier in his new home with wini and his family.

6 days later this mama and her 6 kittens are slowly recovering from being found in the rains in margao. The kittens had eye infections which vet assistant Akshay has treated successfully. Mama still needs building up feeding all her kittens but slowly does it. We will do our best! The main thing is, they are safe, wanted and loved at home with our Asa family!

Our beautiful birds having their breakfasts this morning, in the aviary. Well done Asa agonda team the birds looks happy and healthy!

These poor kitties and their mama dumped in a box in the rain!
6 kittens and the mother cat were in desperate need of love and care!
A young lady picked them up and took them home.
She is of poor means, and had stuffed all the kittens in a basket in her room because she has dogs.
The kittens are too small to be separated from their mother yet.
Plus they all have eye infections!
We had a call yesterday, from a very concerned reporter asking us to help if possible. The mama and her kitties arrived last night.
Today vet assistant Akshay checked the kittens and treated their eyes. They look much better already. And the family have settled down quietly in our cat lounge. We will do our best and hopefully they will be ok.

Hot sunny afternoons at the shelter. Happy pups running around with the other dogs. These puppies were recently dumped. But they have soon settled down in their new home!

Four dogs for abc's caught on friday and operated on Saturday Two dogs from patnem, male & female, and a male & female dog from Agonda.
Thank🙏you to our Vet for operating them! Once these dogs have recovered after a few days, they will be released back to the areas where they were trapped!

One male released in agonda, after Abc. plus one female caught with the help of a lovely tourist for Abc. We also have our shelter dogs, at Asa including dumped pups found and brought to us. No mama and a big Thankyou to all who are helping us out there in the community🙏

This dog was reported to us with a maggott wound, by monali who helps, feeds and care for some of the dogs in agonda. He is being treated by our vet assistant Akshay. After recovery the dog will then be released back to the area where he was picked up.
