WHAT IS HORSE GUIDED EMPOWERMENT?
HGE is a way of exploring yourself through your relationship with a pony.

You will work with ponies from the ground, taking part in simple activities and allowing the pony's responses to become part of the experience.

The aim isn't to teach you how to ride or train a pony. It's to give you an opportunity to notice how you communicate, how you respond to another being, what you feel and what happens when you try something different.

Through this process you may discover things about yourself that can help with confidence, relationships, boundaries, emotional awareness and personal growth.

There are no right or wrong answers. The pony isn't being used to tell you what you are like. Instead, you are invited to notice your own experience and decide what meaning, if any, it has for you.

As some of you may know I am currently studying for my certification as a Horse Guided Empowerment Facilitator.
I am looking for people who would be willing to come and do a session with us as part of my practical exam. You will act as a client and afterwards ill submit my report to my course mentor. It's completely confidential and nothing will be posted on Facebook.

The session lasts about an hour and is, of course, free of charge and you will get the pleasure of being up close and personal with the ponies.

WHAT A HORSE GUIDED EMPOWERMENT SESSION IS

This is a facilitation based, non interventionist practice - not psychotherapy or counselling. I hold space for you and the ponies to connect at your own pace, without directing or scripting what happens. My role is to notice and support what's emerging in your body, nervous system, posture and presence as you and the pony build genuine connection.
The ponies are active participants whose responses reflect what's happening for you in real time

WHAT IT ISN'T:
If you're working through significant trauma, mental health issues or need clinical support this complements but doesn't replace psychotherapy or medical care.

Misty has arrived at her new home. A far cry from the pony who stepped off the box shivering and shaking 3 years ago. I am so happy.

I'm delighted to tell you that, after 3 years receiving the Magic Rehab, Misty(MLHR Mystique) has gone to her new home with Elaine.
