City Cats

City Cats City Cat's Waterford is dedicated to Cats. Our aim is to increase cat welfare in and around Waterford He would not have lasted much longer.

'City Cat's' saw there is a great need for the availability of TNR within the city. Numerous cat colonies exist within the city area, and surrounding country areas. 'City Cat's' sees first hand the pain and suffering caused from unneutered colonies being fed in city and country areas. The inspiration for 'City Cat's' was one little kitten in particular who was a feral City Cat, well Kittten, livin

g in the inner city. He was a deaf white kitten and when rescued had obviously been attached by a dog or something. This kitten who was sickly thin and dirty, was roaming the street looking for food while maggots ate from his open wound. This little kitten is now a beautiful healthy cat. TNR programmes allow people to feed stray and feral cats with out worrying about numerous litters of kittens being born each year. City Cats is a totally voluntarily run not for profit organisation. These two little chipped and neutered cats are looking for a new homes through no fault of their own, their owner has been given a badly needed home by Waterford City and County Council but unfortunately they didn't include her cats, and as they have no cattery facility, unlike for dogs, these two cats are now out on their own....

Our fantastic fundraisers seem to time their fundraising events to align with our most expensive procedures of late.
A tame but timid stray was reported to us along with many others over the past month or two. Unfortunately before we got to get this fellow, as he would come and go from the garden of the lady who reported him to us, he sustained an eye injury.
Finally he was caught and Suirside vets in Carrick kindly facilitated us and removed his eye this week.
The girls are hosting a stall at the Tramore Community Market tomo, again all and any monies raised go to all our cat operations, food, medications, worm and flea treatments and vaccinations where needed. So thank you so much yet again for your continued support.

Currently there are at least 2 lovely tame cats straying in the ferrybank area Fiodh Mhór. Tá mé Strays can bé brought to any vets and scanned for a microchip for free, they would also be able to tell you, for free I'm sure, is the cat female or male, and if male whether neutered or not.
I'm this case this male is not chipped but is neutered. We had been meaning to collect the other female to bring her to the vets to be scanned also.
But I am kinda wondering were these two cats abandoned by an owner, they both look similar in age and condition etc..

*Missing*
This beautiful 9year old little female cat is missing from Dunhill.
Please check closed garden sheds and out houses and areas where windows may have been open during the warm weather.

She is missing for 4 days from Dunhill village. She answers to Cake. She isn't chipped or wearing a collar. She's very friendly and would approach anyone for a rub and if you picked her up she would look to climb onto your shoulder.

Please get in touch by commenting below with any possible sightings. Please tell neighbours in Dunhill area who may not be on Facebook.

And, of course, please share...
