A heartbroken cloud hangs heavy over our GH AGRI family today as we try to process the news that our dear Danny Cunningham passed away suddenly yesterday.
Through many calls and messages to one another the same feelings kept coming through, we are speechless, numb, heartbroken and the thought of being in GH AGRI without Danny feels incomprehensible.
Danny and Kevin hit it off from the word go over 4 years ago while we were working with him in his Enterprise Ireland capacity in the Middle East. The calls and meetings soon became more about friendship and the future and they stayed that way since.
For the past two years he has been in the office day in day out, travelling up every week from Waterford.
Danny was our business development manager but in truth he was everyone’s champion, he brought the best out in all of us and drove us on day in day out. He had an incredible ability to listen and truly absorb what you had to say and acknowledge everyone’s contribution. Under his stewardship he completely transformed what we did, everything we have achieved the past couple of years are directly attributed to Danny.
His guidance, his presence, his kindness, passion and who he was as an individual will be heartbreakingly missed by everyone of us. It’s going to take us a bit of time to regroup and put ourselves back together as we figure out what life looks like now without Danny.
We have been forever enriched by the fact we were lucky enough to have had you in our lives Danny.
