When grooming you have to be open to every situation, and to have a understanding that dogs have experiences which shape who they are and how they see the world just like humans. This is Bella she is extremely nervous around people and today i had her for her first groom with me she was very nervous of me and didn't want me close to her space she didnt want to hurt me she just didn't like me near her, so for today instead of grooming her i aimed to ease her nerves, using treats and patients gradually she opened up to me even able to take food from my hand this is excellent for her comfort and it can really help to someday have her embrace the groom. a lot of people forget this, but its just as important for a groomer to comfort the dog and not to just groom them you need patience its hard sometimes but that's a part of the job. Bella was a wonderful girl today she made so much progress and im really proud how far we got thank you for coming Bella your always welcome here ❤️

Jim was a fantastic boy for his groom today he was very relaxed throughout and loved having all the pets. Jim came to me for a big deep wash his coat was quite mucky from all his playing, so todays big focus was clearing that by cleaning that coat which he was very patient with after he had a a quick dew claw trim a dry and a comb throughout and was ready for home an amazing boy thank you jim 🥰 🐶 ❤️

Today he needed a wash and dry a nail trim a small dematt and a trim, his still a bit nervous of the dryer but the rest he managed really well.
