Eye Vet is is a dedicated veterinary ophthalmology referral service which offers a very high standard of medical and surgical ophthalmic care for your pet. Advanced ocular diagnostics and surgical procedures are available using specialised equipment and techniques to ensure the best care for your pet. Services include:

BVA/KC/ISDS Eye Testing

Diagnostic procedures, using specialised equipment
■Tonometry – for glaucoma diagnosis
■Gonioscopy – diagnosis of an inherited eye problem
■Slit-lamp biomicroscopy – detailed eye examination
■Blood pressure assessment
■Ultrasound examination of the eye
■Electroretinography

Surgery:
■Operating microscope – for performing delicate eye surgery
■Cataract extraction using phacoemulsification
■Eyelid reconstruction surgery
■Cherry eye surgery
■Corneal grafting procedures
■Electrolysis for permanent removal of distichia (extra eyelashes)
■Parotid duct transposition surgery
■Cosmetic alternative to eye removal, where appropriate

She had her own chauffeur! Talk about travelling in style! 👑

Zoey travelled all the way from Dublin to Tipperary in her very own taxi, arriving at the clinic like the VIP (Very Important Pup) that she is! 🚕🐶

Huge congratulations to Abi on passing her Membership examinations in Feline Medicine and becoming a MANZCVS!
This was an important step in her ongoing preparation for the Fellowship examinations in Veterinary Ophthalmology, and she has worked incredibly hard to get here. Even better, her boyfriend Nic sat the same exam to keep her company, and passed too.
It has been a big season for them both: exams completed, boxes unpacked, and their three cats now safely moved over from the UK to Ireland.

We are so impressed and absolutely delighted for them. Very well deserved!

Today we’re saying a very proud (and definitely a bit tearful) farewell to Fiona, who has completed her ANZCVS Residency in Veterinary Ophthalmology and is heading off to start an exciting new chapter in New Zealand. 🇳🇿💙

Fiona has been an exceptional part of our team: diligent, thoughtful, compassionate, and an absolute pleasure to work alongside. Over her Residency she has grown into a superb veterinary ophthalmologist, and we’re so proud of the clinician and person she has become.

Our patients and clients have been incredibly lucky to be under her care, and we will all miss her calm good humor, steady work ethic, and kindness every single day.

Fiona, thank you for everything you’ve given to Eye Vet. You’ll always have a home with us, and we’ll be cheering you on from the other side of the world. 🌍✨
