Anthony McCann Racing

Remembering the one and only Oliver Brady today. 🏇💚
A great horseman, a proud Monaghan man and a character the likes of which racing may never see again.
No winner was ever too small to celebrate properly, and if Oliver was in the winner’s enclosure, you could be fairly sure there’d be a speech, a sing-song and plenty of entertainment! 🎶🏆
Twelve years gone, but certainly never forgotten.
Up Monaghan! 💙🤍

Grace Faraday returned to winning ways today. A second win for her at Galway and we are delighted for all her connections.

🐎🐎🐎🐎

Grace Faraday (18/1) registered a timely third success today, as the Anthony McCann-trained mare landed Galway's WTW Willis Handicap Hurdle (Div II) under jockey James Smith. The eight-year-old mare, who is likely to be covered in the new year, had taken the lead when hanging left entering the home s...

Any win is a good day but when one does it with such authority it makes it even better...... Another class ride by Aine O Connor.

Congratulations to all of his connections. 🥇🐎🥇🐎🥇🐎🥇🐎

Castleblaney trainer Anthony McCann and jockey Aine O'Connor have a good record when teaming up in bumpers and landed the last at Downpatrick with Martymill (15/8).

Another clever purchase… picked up for just 4,000gns at last year’s Tattersalls Guineas HIT Sale from Godolphin 💥

We’ve had plenty of luck with horses coming out of that system, and this lad might just be another one… 👀✨ First ever run today in the bumper at Down Royal — last race of the day — and both horse and jockey got plenty out of it 📈🐎 A lovely introduction and plenty to build on 💪

Massive credit to Marie Sullivan, who knows exactly the type of horse we like and is rarely wrong in her recommendations 🙌
Very lucky to have someone like her in our corner at the sales 🤝

Exciting times ahead for this lad 🚀🐎🔥

Congratulations to all his connections 🐎🐎🐎

ARKequine

Alfred Wincham came from last to first to make an impressive winning debut in the concluding bumper at Down Royal this afternoon.

Well done Prom Queen 👑

A worthwhile spin down to Gowran Park today – and a special one at that. Every winner is important, but this one had that bit extra.

Picked out as a birthday present at the Tattersalls July Sale in 2024 for the yard’s biggest supporter, Prom Queen delivered the perfect return for Rita Shah – and didn’t she do it in style 💥

Safe to say that birthday present has paid for itself… and then some 😉

Another one on the board and the good run continues 🔥
Rising Sky gets the job done nicely at Dundalk, making it two winners in as many days for the yard.
Delighted for the owners, who are seeing things come together, this is their first winner and we are delighted to have them on board. Fair play to Patrick McGettigan also for a very tidy ride.
The team at home have her in great order and it’s nice to see that work paying off on the track.
Hopefully plenty more to come — well done to everyone involved 👏 🐎🐎🐎

Rising Sky (13/2) gave trainer Anthony McCann two winners in as many days today, landing Dundalk’s concluding Next Friday Fixture At Dundalk 10th April Handicap for owners Glenhoy and jockey Patrick McGettigan.

Silent Guardian makes it count at Clonmel.
Back in the right company and with conditions to suit, he put it all together nicely and won well, travelling smoothly throughout and seeing it out the right way. It was good to see him relax and show what he’s capable of when things fall into place.
Delighted for the owners, who have only recently come into the horse — a great way to get started. And credit to Niall Almond for recommending him to us in the first place.
A good result for everyone involved and nice to have him back on track. 🐎🐎🐎

Top-weight Silent Guardian could afford to ease up close home as he ran out a cosy winner of the first division of the Glenary Handicap Hurdle at Clonmel this afternoon.
