This past week has been very different around the yard…

It’s been very quiet ! 🤣
With Pony Camp finishing the week before, the horses and ponies have been having a good, well deserved rest. 😊❤️

The yard feels so strange without all the noise, laughter, kids running around, ponies being groomed and fussed over and all the general madness that comes with Pony Camp! 😂 It’s amazing how quiet it feels when it’s all gone.

Looking back on the last few weeks, we really have had the BEST summer ! ☀️ The weather was absolutely unbelievable and made Pony Camp even more special .... sunshine, ponies, happy kids and plenty of fun!

A massive THANK YOU to every single one of the kids who came along. 🥰 You were all absolutely brilliant 😊😊

There were so many laughs, new friendships made, lots of riding, lots of learning and, of course, lots and LOTS of very pampered ponies 😊💛😊

It’s been so lovely watching everyone grow in confidence, learn new things, help each other and just enjoy being around the horses and ponies. There’s so much more to Pony Camp than just riding .... learning how to groom, tack up, care for the ponies, help around the yard and understand what goes into looking after them properly.

And of course, the ponies deserve a HUGE thank you too 🙏🙏 They’ve worked hard all summer and have been absolutely spoiled with grooming, cuddles, attention and probably far too many treats! 😂 They really are the stars of the show.

A massive thank you to our amazing staff as well. 💛💛💛💛 there is so much work that goes on behind the scenes to make Pony Camp happen ..... the early mornings, getting everything ready, looking after the ponies, teaching, helping the kids, cleaning, organising, tidying and then doing it all again the next day! 😂😅 We genuinely couldn’t do it without you 🥰💛🥰

And thank you to everyone behind the scenes who helps make everything run smoothly, and of course to all the parents for your continued support 🙏😊🙏😊 It really is appreciated more than you know.

Most of all, thank you for trusting us with your kids and letting us be part of their summer. 🥰

I think we can safely say… lessons were learned, friendships were made, ponies were pampered, memories were made and so much fun was had! ❤️🐴☀️

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ ROAD RACE – SUNDAY 16TH AUGUST 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️
Just a quick heads up for our local residents and customers that St Coca’s Athletic Club in Kilcock are holding a 10-mile road race this Sunday, 16th August.

🏁 The race starts in Kilcock at 10.10am and the route will pass through our area.
There will be stewards and traffic control in place throughout the event, and the organisers have assured residents that the route will be cleared of litter afterwards.
Please allow a little extra time for your journey on Sunday morning and take care when travelling along the route. 🚗
We’d also like to wish all the runners the very best of luck! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💪

Almost time for our in house Bank Holiday Show 🐎 🐴 🎠 😊

The show will start at 10am in the back arena. Anyone riding in the Mini-Mini class please be at the yard no later than 9am. Please dont be late for your round 🙏😊 Don't forget to walk your course too 😉

BBQ will be in full swing 😋 all donations going to Jack and Jill Children's Foundation 🥰🥰🥰

We're kicking off at 10am with Handy Hunters, followed then by ....

€25 euro per round on a schoolie

From the weekend of Saturday the 8th and Sunday the 9th of August ( New term A ) we will be starting two BRAND NEW LEAD REIN LESSONS - These lessons are for anyone thats been on our waiting list for more than 6 months and has ALSO done pony camp with us in the past.

We're so excited to welcome everyone back for four days packed with ponies, riding, games, laughter, new friendships and memories that will last a lifetime 😊😊💛💛

🌟 Fridays are always extra special .... families are invited to join us as our campers show off everything they've learned, followed by rosettes, a visit from the ice cream van and our BBQ.
As always, all donations from the BBQ will go to the wonderful Jack & Jill Children's Foundation, helping families caring for children with complex medical needs. Every donation, big or small, will be so appreciated 😊💛🙏

What a weekend !! 😊😊😊😊🌞🌞🌞🌞💛💛👏👏👏

Absolutely amazing and so heartwarming to welcome everyone back again. After the longest few weeks, having the yard full again, hearing the laughter, seeing all the happy faces, kids chatting away excitedly, parents catching up, schoolies being fussed over and everyone just back together again… it was SO special.
The sun shone for us all weekend and the whole place just felt happy again 🥰🥰🥰

Watching lessons back in full swing, seeing our amazing staff family back doing what they do best 🙏☺️🫶 and our beautiful schoolies looking after everyone so perfectly was honestly so amazing ... .my face is actually sore from smiling 😅

We have missed this SO much. Missed all of you so much 💛

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the kindness, support, patience and love while we got through the last few weeks. Seeing everyone back this weekend reminded me exactly why we do what we do 💛💛🌞🌞😊😊🙏🙏

WE ARE FINALLY REOPENING 🥳🥳🥳🥳

I honestly don’t even know where to begin !!! The words we have all been waiting to say for many many weeks ......
from this weekend ( SATURDAY 23rd/SUNDAY 24th MAY )lessons are officially back 😊😊😊💛💛💛

To say we are happy would be an understatement. We are relieved, emotional, grateful and so unbelievably excited to have our riding school coming back to life again. We have missed our riders, families, pony cuddles, lessons and busy yard days more than you could possibly know 🥰

The last few weeks have been incredibly difficult behind the scenes, but from the very beginning our absolute priority was making sure everything was handled properly, carefully and with the horses welfare at the centre of every decision made.
We also want to say a huge heartfelt thank you to the amazing people behind the scenes who supported, guided and helped us through all of this, their professionalism, advice and support were incredible and we could not have done it without them. We are so greatful 🙏🙏

Most importantly of all, our precious schoolies remained happy, healthy and completely well throughout everything and honestly that is the greatest relief of all and something we will never take for granted 💛🥰💛🥰🐴🐴🐴

Lessons will restart slow and steady to make sure horses, ponies AND riders all come back happy and confident again, I know that everyone ( two and four legged 🤣 ) might be feeling a bit rusty so we'll take our time and enjoy ourselves while we slowly come back to getting used to the saddle 😊 There’ll be lots of gentle uncomplicated flatwork, walking the track, mounted games and some on board learning for the younger ones. 💛😊

Today was and continues to be a busy day getting the schoolies back in, groomed, spoiled rotten and very lightly reintroduced to the walker, the lunge ring and the bridle and saddle again .... and to be honest they all seemed really happy and relaxed to be back doing what they do best 😊😊😊

I honestly cant thank our incredible Clonfert staff family 💛💛💛💛 enough for pulling together so quickly and getting stuck in straight away. We’ll continue preparing the horses and ponies throughout the week ready for lessons to resume this weekend 😊😊

We are just SO happy, SO relieved and SO excited to finally welcome everybody back .... we cant cant cant wait to see you ! 😊😊

SUMMER CAMP UPDATE 🌞🌞🌞

Although lessons are still paused for now, we’re busy behind the scenes getting everything organised and ready for when we'll be able to reopen ( hopefully soon !! 🤞🤞🤞 ) and for summer pony camps ☀️
If anyone is hoping to do camp with us this summer, we’d really appreciate getting bookings in early while we organise ponies, groups and staffing 🙏🙏💛

Our Lead Rein groups and Leasing groups are now FULL 🙏🙏😊

We’ve had so many lovely messages asking when the yard will reopen for lessons, so I just wanted to share a little update 💛
The honest answer is .... we don’t know just yet, and I know that’s not what anyone wants to hear but things are looking good and we're PRAYING that it wont be too much longer 🙏
What I can say is that all of the horses and ponies continue to be happy, relaxed, and in great form, which is the most important thing to us right now.
We’re taking things day by day, following all advice, and making sure everything is done properly and safely before we reopen for lessons again.
We promise we’ll reopen as soon as we can.
We miss the yard being full of you all just as much as you miss being here !! it’s very quiet without you 💛
Thank you so much for all the kindness, patience and support over the past while, it really does mean more than you know.
We’ll keep you updated as soon as we have any news at all. 🙏🙏💛💛

Second round of testing done today for all liveries, another long day, but a really good one. Everyone behaved brilliantly, mostly ! 👀🤣 … although they were far less impressed about it this time around 🤣😅 safe to say they all knew what was coming this time 🤣😅🤪 but honestly they were brilliant 👏 👌😊

Delighted to say all horses are still looking bright, well, in great form and most importantly showing no symptoms 😊🙏😊

Our school horses are up next for round two this Monday so by the end of next week we should have a much clearer idea of where we stand.
We'll let you know the minute we can about reopening.....
But for now, we remain closed ..... no lessons, no liveries, no visitors.

Thank you all for sticking with us and being so patient 🙏 💛💛 it really doesn’t go unnoticed.
The messages, check-ins and support over the past while have honestly kept us going 💛 We can’t wait to get back to some sort of normal and see you all again.

We’ll keep you updated as always as we move through the next steps.
