🦷Dental day for Maya🦷

Ever wondered what goes on during a dental procedure? 👀🐶

A dental is so much more than simply removing tartar and making the teeth look clean!

🔎 Visual assessment – examining the teeth and gums
🩻 Full-mouth dental X-rays – checking what’s happening beneath the gumline: 28% of grossly normal-looking teeth in dogs have clinically important disease that is only revealed through dental X-rays.
💧 Descaling – removing plaque and tartar
✨ Polishing – smoothing the tooth surface
📋 Charting & probing – assessing each tooth and recording any abnormalities
🦷Extractions- removal of teeth that are damaged, diseased or causing pain

At Allpets we take dental health seriously. Vet Ryan has a particular interest in dentistry and is currently completing a masters in dentistry to enhance his knowledge and skills! ⭐️
