When your senior or unwell pet is nearing the end, many families want one thing: to stay together at home, not travel to a clinic for the hardest goodbye.

MyCompanion works alongside our veterinary partners at , so a peaceful home euthanasia can happen in your own home, where your pet feels safest. Afterwards, we collect your companion in a willow casket and carry out a dignified, individual cremation, with their ashes hand delivered home to you after 5 working days.

Our premises is located in the beautiful village of Straffan Co Kildare, a calm and serene setting. At our premises we have a farewell room , where your pet will be laid out in a willow casket and you will have the privacy, time and space to say your final farewell. We also have a door-to-door service if you would prefer us to collect your pet from your home or vets clinic. We transfer your pet to a willow casket and allow time in privacy to say your goodbyes. If you're new here, hello. We're Adeline and Seán, and we started MyCompanion Pet Cremation in Straffan, Co. Kildare, after Seán and his family lost their dog Rosie, and Adeline and her family lost their cat Taz.

You can say goodbye however feels right for you. Bring your companion to our private farewell room at our premises, or let us collect them from your home or your vet clinic instead. Either way, we take care of everything from there, with the same dignity we wanted for our own pets. Their ashes come home to you after five working days, and only their ashes, ever.

Our Services:

* Full home service : Home euthanasia with our Veterinary partners who support you and your pet at this difficult time with such care. Your pet is then gently transferred to a willow casket and made comfortable with blanket and flowers. You will have time privately to say your final farewell. Individual cremations only and ashes are hand delivered home after five working days in an urn of your choice.

* Door-to-door service : if you're pet has passed at home or in your vet clinic we can provide a door-to-door collection and provide the same service as above with willow casket, Individual cremation and hand delivered home.

* Farewell room : If preferred, you can bring your pet to our premises where you will have use of our Farewell room. Your pet will be transferred to a willow casket and you have time in privacy to say goodbye in a comfortable and soft setting. Ashes are ready for collection after five working days in an urn of your choice.

All MyCompanion team are qualified pet bereavement counsellors and are here to support you through this difficult time. Every detail and care is given and as pet owners we have experienced the loss and understand the grief that loss brings.

Its not something we want to think about, losing our beloved pets BUT it is important to know where to turn for support and a dignified and respectful farewell.

This Cat Day, we want to introduce you to Taz & Duma - the Bengal cats who inspired part of our journey. 💛

Saying goodbye to them showed us just how deep the bond between a pet and their person really is. It’s why we created My Companion, to ensure every goodbye is handled with compassion, dignity, and love.

Crisp leaves and cooler days = autumn adventures 🍁

But while the season is beautiful, it can bring a few hidden dangers for our pets.

From wild mushrooms on the trail to tempting Halloween treats at home, a little extra care goes a long way in keeping tails wagging this autumn.
