Earlier this year we planted over 400 dogrose and sea buckthorn shrubs which have really started growing and blooming in the past couple of days. 💚🌸 In only a few years time, this hedge will be tall, providing shelter and healthy forage for the horses during winter months, as both plants bear edible fruits (in moderation)

With over 15 horses and ponies we go through quite a lot of hay in a day. We distribute haynets around the track twice daily. Depending on the weather and season and if we want to achieve weight gain or loss, we feed further or closer to shelter and water. Making foraging easier or more difficult, increasing or decreasing daily movement. Follow along to see what our usual routine looks like
