We’re hiring! 🐾

Croí na Mara Vets in Briarhill and Oranmore is looking for a friendly, highly organised and computer-confident Receptionist/Administrator to join our team.

This is a varied part-time role in our busy veterinary practice, combining client care, reception, administration, computer work and stock control.

We’re looking for someone who:
🐾 Is organised, efficient and computer confident
🐾 Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
🐾 Is friendly and confident dealing with clients
🐾 Can manage multiple tasks and pay close attention to detail
🐾 Takes initiative and enjoys finding ways to improve systems and processes
🐾 Has a genuine love of animals ❤️

Veterinary experience is not essential — we’re much more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, strong administrative skills and a proactive approach.

Hours are generally 8.30am–2pm or 8.30am–4pm, depending on the agreed working pattern. Saturday work is required, and flexibility is important.

💶 Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills.

Our Oranmore branch is finally ready for opening! It’s been a busy few weeks getting things organised but opening day is finally upon us! Doors will open next Tuesday morning at 8.30am. All visitors (both four and two legged!) are welcome to pop in and say hello! You’ll see the same friendly faces (Ruth and Riona) as well as some new (our new receptionist Cavina!).
While Tuesday will be our first official day open we plan to have a formal opening event on September 12th to mark the occasion!
We look forward to seeing clients, both old and new in Oranmore in the future 💙🩵

Clinics, volunteers, charities and communities came together yesterday to perform something amazing! 57 cats came through the doors of a rural centre in An Cheathrú Rua. 55 of these were neutered/spayed and parasite treated and the remaining two were tiny kittens who were health checked and parasited treated. This would no have been possible without the organising done by Mairead and Mikey. And the wonderful charity Galway Cat Rescue who went above and beyond to ensure the day ran smoothly. Volunteers from vet clinics across Galway came together -
Each person bringing a unique set of skills! You may even recognise a familiar face who travelled from Donegal to help ( Catherine!). Petmania Ireland sponsored puppy pads and flea/worm treatment for the day, which was a massive help! Galway SPCA and Renvyle Cat and Dog Rescue provided addition traps! As always - these events are run with charity funding. If anyone would like to donate so more days like this can be ran you can do so directly to Galway Cat Rescue!
