Little Oscar was an absolute pro on the grooming table today! 🥹💕 You’d honestly think he’d been going to the groomers for years — such a clever, well-behaved little boy. 🐶✨
I absolutely love giving puppies their very first trim. I always try to make their first grooming experience as relaxed, positive and enjoyable as possible, with lots of cuddles, reassurance and little breaks in between the sc******ng. 🥰✂️

Well done, Oscar — you absolutely smashed your first groom! 💗🐾

⚠️ Please don’t let your dog’s coat get to this stage.
Severe matting isn’t just about appearance — those tight mats constantly pull on the skin and can be incredibly uncomfortable and painful. 💔
For this little girl, the matting was too severe to brush out, so the kindest thing I could do was clip her coat off and finally give her skin some relief. ❤️🐾
I won’t lie, I had tears in my eyes clipping her, but I was smiling at the same time because I knew with every bit of coat coming off, I was helping her. She was such a good girl through it all, almost like she knew I was trying to make her feel better. 🥹❤️
After years and years of working at my craft, learning my trade and taking so much pride in styling dogs, I like to think of myself as a pet stylist. I absolutely love creating a beautiful finish and seeing a dog leave looking their best.
But welfare grooms like this are every bit as important — and, in a different way, probably give me even more satisfaction than a full style. There’s something very special about knowing that underneath it all, you’ve made a dog more comfortable and helped them feel like themselves again. ❤️
Sometimes grooming isn’t about making a dog look perfect. Sometimes it’s simply about doing what’s best for them.
