A great adventure is behind us—1,800 km traveled and 20 hours on a ferry (each way!).
We competed in the biggest sporting event for working-line German Shepherds. Proudly representing Ireland, 🇮🇪 we passed the highest level, IGP 3 (obedience, protection, and tracking), at this premier trial—securing 85th place in the world! Our Gigi was absolutely stellar! Despite the hardships of a long journey, a new environment, and a change in routine, she acclimated well and was ready to work! She handled every discipline brilliantly. Given the immense amount of preparation and sacrifice involved, not everyone managed to succeed.
Now, it’s time for a short rest and a return to our usual routine 😉. Afterward, we’ll be back to training, full of energy and determination, to work on the things that didn’t go quite as planned 😉.

Our stay in Slovenia is coming to an end. Beyond the sporting event itself, this was also a time we could spend with our beloved girls. It was wonderful to spend time in countries (Slovenia and Italy) where our dogs weren't labeled as "dangerous dogs on a list" (because no such list exists!)—they were just ordinary dogs that no one feared or even paid special attention to. We could walk through town with them without muzzles, enter shops, cafés, and restaurants, and even cross playgrounds and sports fields! For us—ordinary people who love their dogs—it was an absolutely wonderful feeling!
📍We need more education and fewer senseless rules and bans!
The 20-hour ferry ride and the 1,600 km drive were well worth it! We’ll definitely make this trip again—we’ve fallen in love with sLOVEnia!🇸🇮
