🐾 Now this is quite a rescue story!
Meet Aran, Aki, Hanson and Doris — four tiny kittens found huddled together in a wet ditch on Inis Mór with no mother to be found.
At only around three weeks old, they needed help quickly. And that's when a wonderful chain of people stepped in.
From the person who found them, to Galway Cat Rescue, Aer Arann, who flew the little passengers off the island free of charge, the veterinary team and now their foster carer bottle-feeding them around the clock, everyone played their part.
The best news of all? They're “flying it.” ❤️
Sometimes it takes a whole community to give four tiny lives another chance.
Well done to everyone involved and here's to Aran, Aki, Hanson and Doris growing stronger every day. 🐾

🌈🐾 Today is National Pet Memorial Day.

Today we remember the pets who are no longer beside us, but whose place in our families never really disappears.
We remember their favourite chair, the walks they loved, the sound of paws coming to greet us, the mischief they got up to and all those little everyday things we didn't realise we'd miss quite so much.
If you're remembering a special pet today, please share their name, photograph and perhaps one favourite memory in the comments below.
Today is simply about remembering them. ❤️
Rest easy, friends.

🐾 A lovely celebration of rescue dogs today.

The KWWSPCA Wag & Bone Dog Show takes place at Punchestown, with some of the charity's current rescue dogs joined by many former rescues returning with their families.

There's something particularly lovely about seeing animals who once needed help coming back years later, happy and loved in their forever homes.
Best wishes to everyone taking part today — especially the four-legged competitors! ❤️🐾

Delighted to see the story of RIP for Pets. ie featured so extensively by All About Cork. What began as Rest Easy Friend has developed a new name, a clearer identity and, hopefully, a lasting way for people to remember the pets who meant so much to them.

Many thanks to Ellen Wolfe and All About Cork for telling the story so thoughtfully.

What began as a retirement project to give grieving pet owners a place to remember their beloved companions has taken an unexpected turn, with Rest Easy Friend becoming RIP for Pets. For founder Mick…
