❤️ A little message from me ❤️
As a one-person grooming business, I work on my own and usually take in just 4 dogs per day. It is very physical work & injury is common (back, neck, wrists, shoulders, thumbs, including the odd bite etc). But the rewards far outweigh the physical challenges and I battle on.
A full groom can take anywhere from about 1 hour for smooth coats, up to 2.5 hours or longer for larger or more complex coats. When I am fully booked, I have a full day’s work ahead of me, and I also spend several hours each evening managing reminders and the diary.
I completely understand that unexpected things happen and appointments sometimes need to be changed. However, last-minute cancellations or no-shows are very difficult for a small business and can mean a loss of up to 25% or even 50% of my daily income, which is unsustainable unfortunately.
I open at 8:30am and work straight through (no lunch break). If your appointment is at 8:30am, please be on time, as waiting for late arrivals affects the rest of the day’s schedule.
If you need your dog finished early, please let me know in advance rather than on the morning of your appointment.
Once your dog is finished, I will send you a text. Please collect within 30 minutes of receiving that message, as I am often delayed in the evenings, sometimes by up to an hour and a half, waiting for collections after the last groom has finished.
Payment is due on collection or before collection. Revolut payments are brilliant and very helpful, but chasing payments and sending reminders takes a lot of extra time.
I truly do my very best to accommodate everyone. I absolutely love what I do and I am so grateful to all my doggy clients and wonderful human clients for your loyalty and continued support.
Running a small business on your own can be challenging, and I really appreciate your support by respecting appointment dates, times and payment arrangements.
❤️ Thank you so much... Elaine ❤️
