Last weekend we attended IPDGA Irish Professional Dog Groomers Association annual Madra Mania dog grooming competition. It was so good to step back into this comp after a 4 year break 🤪
First up on Saturday my boy Caius and I entered the Open Poodle Class. My second attempt at this trim and the progress is definitely there as we didn’t place at the last comp but I’m excited to continue to improve and evolve this trim. Me and Cai have a bit to go but getting there slowly but surely.
We came away with 2nd place 🥈. Caius was a super star on the table and I’m very proud of him at only 16 months old.
On Sunday my OG boy Niklaus and I entered Champion Freestyle Class. Niklaus was sporting a very overgrown coat with almost 6 months on him and the transformation was great. Finally have him back resembling a beddie 🤣. We came away with 2nd place 🥈 and I’m always delighted with a placement with him because it’s miraculous 😃. He’s the best dog and my little pet.
It was an honour to also be nominated for the Spirit of Mary Toland Award (even if I didn’t get called out on the day as a nominee 😕)
Thank you to our judges over the weekend for their placings and kind words of encouragement.
Thanks to for supporting me and for the content as always.
Congratulations to all the IPDGA committee and helpers for putting on a great weekend.
Congratulations to everyone who stepped into the ring and to all the big winners of the weekend. It was fab to catch up with many friendly faces.
