The owner of Tim & Tess asked us to find them a new home. Why? Because he acquired a Shepherd pup who has since developed an unhealthy obsession for the two cats which has turned into a high risk situation - someone's gonna get hurt!😢

BETH DUTTON THE BOTTLE FEEDER IS READY FOR HER NEW HOME.
Hi all, my name is Beth Dutton. I came into DAR care when I was 24 hours old. My brother and I were found by a member of the public. Our mum was nowhere to be seen. We were minutes from death. We were ice cold and invested with maggots. The man rushed us to the Veterinary Clinic. The team started working on us straight away. Unfortunately, my brother didn't make it 😪 I was placed in foster care. Everyone knew that the odds were stacked against me, but I kept fighting and here I am 16 weeks old and ready for my new home. I'm a very playful, affectionate, adorable, cute, confident, spoilt 😁, intelligent and sweet girl. I love cats and dogs
and I really love humans.

OUR DONACARNEY FAMILY OF FELINES - An update. A fight for life. ❤️‍🩹

We had an unexpected and unplanned surrender of a mother and her kittens yesterday on September 01st, 2026.

Out of four kittens, only two have survived. They are back with mammy now as she doesn't have mastitis after all. The kittens, still young and small, need their mother's milk if they are to stand a chance at survival. HOWEVER, there is an underlying issue. Mother and kittens have a flea infestation that has caused the kittens to become very anaemic.

Unfortunately, one of the two kittens is struggling and is on a glucose drip and a warm air balloon to keep it warm as its body temperature is dropping down. It may not make it. 😔

This did not need to happen folks. The young mother could have been neutered. She could have been treated for parasites regularly. Sadly, these things were not done and she is protecting the one kitten she has left with all her might.

This is not her first litter either but it will be her last. Everyday is a day of drama for us at DAR and it is becoming exhausting. 😩

We are quite fortunate we have a team of veterinary staff who are working around the clock to help this little family pull through - literally around the clock - and for this we are extremely grateful. 🙏

SURRENDERED MOTHER & HER REMAINING TWO KITTENS - A Story of heartbreak 💔 - Tuesday September 01st, 2026

Today a mother and her two remaining kittens were unexpectedly surrendered.
The kittens are 4-5 weeks old. Both mother and kittens have a flea infestation. One kitten died yesterday after it was admitted to hospital most likely due to anaemia from blood loss from the fleas.

Mother has mastitis so is being kept away from her kittens. Life isn't good for this young family nor for us. 😔 All have been given SpotOn treatment for parasites.

And there was a fourth kitten who mysteriously died. We don't know what happened.

So, we are looking for help. One foster home for mammy and another one for the kittens. Currently all are in the hospital but need to be discharged very soon.

CAN YOU HELP US? This little family didn't ask for this nor did we but we will do what we can to get their lives on the right track.

‼️URGENT‼️ SEEKING B&B ACCOMMODATION UNTIL Monday August 31st, 2026.

This Lurcher was found today (August 29th, 2026) in Drogheda. The finder cannot hold and we need to find B&B accommodation until Monday when the dog pound re-opens.

Can anyone please help 🙏? As you know,, we are homeless without a rescue centre to give this poor dog a place to stay.

Little Miss Sunshine went to her forever home yesterday and is already settling in nicely. Thank you Rachel for adopting another DAR cat. All three of these kittens are now in really great homes. Thanks you to all of you.
UPDATE: Little Miss Sunshine is still looking for her forever home. Sunny Boy went to his new home on Friday and is settling in very nicely with his lovely new family. Rainman is busy packing his bags to go to his new home on Wednesday. That just leaves the lovely Little Miss Sunshine all on her own.

I am the boss of the family. I'm a very friendly, playful, confident boy. I love lying in the sun and my favourite food is tuna. I'm a purring machine and I can't wait to find my new home.
🌟 My name is Rainman. I'm not as confident as my bossy brother 😀. I can be a little unsure of myself in new situations but like my brother, I am also a purring machine. I love lying on a soft sofa and my favourite food is chicken. I'm looking for a home that will give me time to find my paws 💗
🌟 Last but definitely not least. My name is little Miss Sunshine. I'm the only girl in my family and I'm a super shy little one. I'm looking for a special home that understands that I need loads of encouragement and time to settle in. I love sitting quietly and watching the world go by and my favourite food is sardines.
