⁉️DO YOU OWN ME⁉️ - ELDERLY CROSS BREED OLD BOY WAS FOUND STRAYING THIS MORNING - Grangebellew Co Louth - Tuesday June 02nd, 2026

He is microchipped but it is not registered. Lovely old fella was found with a radio collar around his neck.

He was posted to numerous community WhatsApp groups but no one has come forward. He is now in the Louth County Council Dog Pound.

➡️ IF NO ONE CLAIMS THIS DOG, we want to help him. We are looking for a retirement home for him. He does need veterinary care which our rescue will cover.

WHAT VET CARE DOES HE NEED YOU MAY ASK? Well, his testicles are enlarged most likely due to cancer. 😖 They need to be removed.

He is a lovely, friendly dog and we want to help him if he isn't reclaimed.

RESCUED MALE STAMULLEN KITTEN SEEKS A NEW HOME 🧡🤎 - NOW AT Pet-Bliss Drogheda Store

We try to give a write-up about the animals needing new homes that best reflects their personality, their story, and the type of home we think is best for them.

Imagine getting trapped at say 6-8 weeks of age along with your sick mammy. Imagine losing your mammy as she was too sick to continue on, and here you are alone, scared, and on your own. This is this little guy's story when he & his mam came into our care on December 03rd, 2025.

He hasn't had opportunity to be socialised and handled much, but he isn't mad feral and won't hiss, bite or attack you. He is just SCARED! 😔 He wants to make friends - he really does - but just doesn't know how to do it.

WHERE ARE WE WITH HIS VETERINARY WORK? He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, plus treated for parasites.

WHAT KIND OF HOME DOES HE NEED?

➡️ A quiet home
➡️ An owner who is gentle & patient
➡️ An indoor home
➡️ A home with another cat who is neutered & friendly - who can help the little guy gain confidence
➡️ NO young children
➡️ NO active or boisterous dogs

We are sharing this from another rescue page called - Stray Cat TNR. HAVE A READ.

Kitten season is particularly bad this year for many rescues including ours. 😔😩

Handing off free kittens may solve your immediate problem, but too often, it simply passes the problem on to someone else. 😞

One of the most common calls we receive for spay/neuter assistance starts with:
“We rescued this kitten from someone to help them out, but we really can’t afford to get her fixed.”

And sadly, those are just the people who actually reach out for help. Most never do. 😢

If we truly care about cats and kittens and their long-term well-being, we have to think beyond just finding them “a home.” We need to make sure they are going into responsible homes where spay/neuter will absolutely happen. That means taking the time to screen adopters, having an adoption process, and getting mom cat spayed ASAP. ✅

You can safely rehome kittens yourself, but please consider reaching out to a shelter or rescue for guidance on how to do it responsibly and safely.

This crisis is bigger than any one person, rescue, or shelter. We all have to work together to break the cycle and make sure these cats are not continuing to reproduce generation after generation.

👉🏼 Spay/neuter is not just the new owner’s responsibility.
👉🏼 It’s not just the old owner’s responsibility.
👉🏼 It’s not just a rescue’s responsibility.

‼️ It is EVERYONE’S responsibility to make sure it happens. ‼️

Many thanks to all of those who attended our annual pub quiz to support our rescue. Truly and gratefully appreciated. 🙏

This Husky got out of the back garden this morning after someone broke into the property and fled leaving the back gate open.

The dog has a red tumour on her head.

WILDLIFE RESCUE - Thursday May 14th, 2026 - Orphaned Chick found at Oldbridge Co Meath

Many may remember the video of the hairless chick we posted on our page that was rescued by a member of the public.

The chick was transferred to a wildlife rehabilitator, Sophie in Kells, who in turn transferred the young chick to Kildare Wildlife Rescue (KWR).

Can you guess what species of bird he is? He is doing very well with the round the clock care by KWR 🙏. Here is an updated photo of him, and he is in fact a HOODED CROW 🐦‍⬛ 🖤
