Anyone looking to so something fun with their pup that a little different - check out mantrailing!

We have some spaces available on our Urban Mantrailing Development Day in Cork City this Saturday.

Meeting Point: 📍Marina Market
Time: Start time 9.30am, finish around 4.30pm
Cost: €100

Who can Book?
Any level of Mantrailing Experience. You do not need to have worked with Hounds and Helis before.

What will be Covered?
Urban Mantrailing is technical skill for both handler and dog. Hard Surface trailing, pedestrians, traffic, traffic fumes, working on a short line etc is a challenge. Within this environment, we will work on:

✨ The 3 different starts: (Intensity, Delayed Intensity and Scent Article)
✨ Split Trails
✨ Aged Trails
✨ Cross Trails
✨ High Contamination Starts

Important information for all dog owners, especially over the next few days with the cold temperatures!

🐾 Attention fellow dog lovers! 🐾

As we gear up for a gorgeous week of crisp, frosty weather – perfect for those delightful dog walks and adventures – let’s keep our furry friends safe on the chilly paths and roads.

❄️ Watch out for Gritting Salt! ❄️

While the cold weather is fantastic for outdoor activities, the salt used to melt ice on footpaths and roads can pose a hazard to our canine companions. It might irritate their paws, leading to discomfort and potential health issues.

👣 Protect those Precious Paws: To ensure your pup’s paws stay happy and healthy, consider investing in dog booties or applying a pet-friendly paw balm before heading out. This extra step can make a world of difference!

🚫 Avoid Salted Areas: Try to steer clear of heavily salted areas, and opt for alternative routes if possible. Your pup’s safety is the top priority!

🧼 Post-Walk Paw Check: After your chilly adventures, give those paws a quick rinse and wipe. This helps remove any lingering salt and prevents it from causing further irritation.

With Christmas approaching fast, try to have some plans in place for your pup to prevent any incidents or injuries.

🐶 do they need to be part of all of the festivities?

🐶 have they got a safe space to go to if they get overwhelmed?

🐶 keep dangerous foods away from them e.g. chocolates, raisins (Christmas cake), onions, garlic to name a few.
