Bit of a late post from us but we would like to remember and acknowledge all those pets that have left paw prints on our hearts 🌈

The pets we have helped, cared for and treated in this practice and throughout our careers. We remember and miss them too 🦋

Today, we remember the ones whose names still make us smile, the ones we still hope to see lying in their favourite spot, the ones we would give anything to have one more day with 🐾

Their life and the unconditional love they gave will always be remembered and we hope to see them again one day 🤍

If you would like to share the pets that have left an impact on your life in the comments we would be delighted to see them 🐶🐱🐰🐹

**URGENT** We have had a lovely cat handed in today. She’s well groomed and cared for, so it’s obvious she is someone’s pet.

She is microchipped but not registered on Fido, animark or europetnet.

The people who found her think she may have been hit by a car on college road by UCC and was found last night at midnight and they took it in home for the evening. She’s currently in our care but we need to find the owners! If you recognise her or think you know the owners please reach out to them and ask them to contact us directly!

Please contact us on 021 2038344.

🦠 Vaccinating your pets can help save against costly treatment in the future.

Protect them today for a healthier tomorrow 🐾

Contact us with any questions or to book in today on 021-2038344 to avail of our 10% vaccine discount for the month of July 🐶🐱🐰

Does anyone recognise this little lady? 🐾

She’s an older, spayed female cat that has been seen around the Farranree area for the past week, spending time in a neighbour’s garden (she doesn’t belong to them).

We were able to safely catch her today, and she is now receiving veterinary treatment. She is very underweight and is unwell.

If you think she may be yours, or you know who she belongs to, or if you’ve seen her being cared for by someone, please get in touch.

Proof of ownership will be required.

Please share to help us find her owner and ensure she gets the care she needs ❤️‍🩹

As Pet Appreciation Week comes to a close, we would like to acknowledge that special pet in your life ✨

Pets bring such joy and meaning to our lives, whether it’s that sniffspection when we get home from work, our early morning wake-up calls or just the cuddles and laughs when they’re most needed while asking for nothing but love in return (and maybe a few treats 🍬)

So here’s to your fluffy, furry, feathery or scaly friends 🐕🐈‍⬛🐇🦜🦎

We would love to see some pictures of your pets you’re celebrating in the comments below 📸

STILL MISSING: Kei, whose name rhymes with sky, is still missing from Kilgarriffe, Clonakilty, Co. Cork. At this stage, she could be anywhere.

She flew away at around 18h45 on Tuesday 12 May 2026. She is 11 years old, very tame, hand-reared, ringed, microchipped, and deeply loved. She has been with us since she was 8 weeks old, and we are devastated beyond words. We are desperate to find her and bring our baby home safely.

If anyone sees her, hears of anyone finding an African Grey, sees unusual grey feathers or any red feathers, or knows anything that might help, please contact us immediately.

If seen, please keep her in sight, take a photo or video if possible, note the exact location, and phone immediately, please.

Contact:
Eghard Halgreen: 087 141 6953
Myrna Butow Halgreen: 087 387 8411
Melissa Halgreen: 085 123 0789

I have attached photos of Kei. Any help sharing this would mean more than the world to us. They say it takes a village to raise a child. I can see now it takes a nation to bring her home.

Kind regards,
Melissa Halgreen
