At Mel’s Fluffy Buddies, I welcome dogs of all breeds and sizes, including those who may find grooming challenging.

✨ A DIFFERENT APPROACH TO GROOMING ✨
I understand that not every dog is comfortable with grooming. For some dogs, being handled, brushed, having their nails trimmed or hearing grooming equipment can be frightening or overwhelming.
My approach is to work with the dog in front of me, taking their individual needs, behaviour and comfort into consideration.
🐶 ONE-TO-ONE GROOMING — JUST ME AND YOUR FUR BABY!
Your dog receives my individual attention throughout their appointment, without the added stress of a busy salon environment or dogs from other households sharing the grooming space.
I believe in patience, understanding and working at the dog's pace wherever possible. My aim is to make grooming as calm, positive and safe an experience as I can.
💕 HONESTY IS SO IMPORTANT!
If your dog has bitten, snapped, growled, panicked, become distressed or been refused grooming elsewhere, please tell me beforehand.
PLEASE DON'T BE EMBARRASSED, AND PLEASE DON'T HIDE THEIR BEHAVIOUR. ❤️
I am not here to judge you or your dog. I simply need to understand their triggers, fears and previous experiences so I can assess the situation and plan accordingly.
🐾 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OWNERS
If your dog has previously reacted to grooming or may become triggered during their appointment, please let me know when booking.
If your dog requires a muzzle for safe handling, please bring a properly fitted muzzle that allows them to breathe and pant comfortably. We can discuss this beforehand so we can plan for your dog's individual needs.
Please remember that bringing a muzzle does not guarantee that a groom can go ahead. Your dog's behaviour, stress levels and safety will be assessed on the day. If grooming would put your dog or myself at risk, or your dog is too distressed to continue, I may need to stop or rearrange the appointment.
Your dog's welfare will always come first. ❤️
