๐พ Meet Lola ๐๐พ
Lola recently came to us for surgery after developing pyometra, a serious and potentially life-threatening infection of the womb (uterus).
Pyometra can happen in unneutered female dogs, usually after they have gone through heat cycles. The womb can fill with infected fluid, and without prompt treatment, the infection can spread into the bloodstream and become fatal. ๐
The good news is that Lola made a fantastic recovery after her surgery, and sheโs now back to being her happy self! ๐ฅฐ๐ถ
Lolaโs story is an important reminder of why neutering female dogs can be so important. Neutering prevents pyometra and can also help prevent other reproductive health problems.
