This is Seamus!! Seamus is an 18hh 7yr old Irish Draught gelding who I’ve had the pleasure of bringing on since October 2025.
When I first met Seamus, he was very sensitive to touch and deal with. He’s had 2 seasons hunting in the UK and came back to his owner at the start of 2025. Unfortunately his owner had had a couple of bad falls off him resulting in injury and with that she had lost a lot of confidence to get him out and about.
Seamus wasn’t confident going out on the road on his own and was spooking at oncoming traffic which resulted in him spinning or darting into the henge or ditch.
We have down a bit of ground work to build him up and some schooling sessions in which we felt he had progressed.
Now, June 2026, he is now hacking out on the road with the odd spook of a car comes by him too fast but we have now gained his confidence. Here are some pics and videos of him today with 100% confidence and progression 😁
